the reason that you would see "foaming of the mouth" is because with a rabies infection, it attacks the nervous system, the first thing to go is ones ability to swallow, thus all saliva must go somewhere, hence appears there is a foaming, and then each part of nervous system becomes affected, thru most of it, still keeping your mind, and most horrible way to die, and people still die every year from rabies. There are aproximately 50 different strains of rabies, most common becoming infected within 5 days. Once one has been bitten by wildlife, and drawing blood, the creature should be caught and taken to animal control or health dept. for further instructions. If the creature isn't caught then one should go to the hosp. or clinic to take the rabies shot, which are no longer in the stomach, depending on the type of bite, type of creature will determine the number of shots in the arm. depending on your area, typically squirrels are fairly safe from having rabies, most notorious animals are bats, raccoons and skunks.
With your squirrel bite i would still consult with a doctor. Once you have one symptom of rabies it is not currable. you will die. there is one case of a person that has survived, last i heard she was alive, but unable to function, completely diabled and lives in a wheelchair. She was young girl that found a bat on the church floor during surfaces and handled it, keep in mind that rabies is in the saliva and not just in a bite, saliva from an infected animal can cause an infection in an open cut. I worked this industry for years.

Thanks for your concern but he did not draw blood, Hoever I understand the squirrel died after I infected him, HaHa. Im sure he is still delighting people in the park there. They do say , do not feed the animals especially kids to alligators as it gives the gators heart burn.

Happy Christmas and a Great Ne Year.

CindyL....another thing to think about.....your instructor told you RAW is essential....at this point in your photography, ask yourself whet's important at this stage....photography or editing ? There's a VERY steep learning curve to photography....there's a very steep learning curve to most editing programs also ! The way I did it is to learn PHOTOGRAPHY first !! I found out that a $700.00 editing program wasn't helping me with bad photography !!! Get photography down FIRST...learn your camera !!! When you see nice shots consistantly coming out of your camera, learn simple editing techniques to improve them !! Can't teach a baby how to walk and drive a car at the same time !!!

i absolutely agree that it does not have to be about equipment, its typically the photographer. I have been wowed by camera phone shots.
also, keep in mind with posters, you dont go up and look close at a poster, you stand back and look, the megapixel certainly does not have to be alot.
I try everything, just do it I say.
there are many craft fairs, rent a booth, put some of those outdoor shots on canvas, walgreens does a very decent canvas. get some large, small, frame some, get creative with the frames, use barn wood, drift wood, etc. hang them in your booth, print some unframed in stacked rows. see how you do selling in a weekend booth

I have a HUGE addiction with the camera, i have for a very long time, i cant explain why, other then i am a creative type, im a little excentric. I do not leave home without my gear, it takes me forever to get out the door, taking this or that, God forbid should it be a family outing. I haven't a clue why im drawn to it, and its been all my life, my addiction, even looking at someones else's work. dont know.

There is something very dry and very impersonal in all the pictures. While we all know this is Christmas some do not seem to know that Christmas is a mix of unwanted gifts and other clutter...

WHERE is the clutter?

A detail? Nope, think about it.

another thing I like is when it appears like they're decorating the tree, but i dont pose them, ill have them decorating, and ill have the dad bring up a funny story, saying to the kids, remember when....then i start shooting as they're decorating and laughing

There was a picture here - guess my critique prompted her to remove it. Honest, I was not unduly critical and I don't think sugar-coating helps anyone. LOL, do I sound defensive?

not in the least bit! she asked, and she came to a photography site to do it!
but you did not at all sound mean or insulting or even negative!! you shouldn't have any concerns
