Hi: My impressions as follows:
1. Love the color.
2. Love the detail.
3. I'm jealous as all get out (kidding).
4. I wish you the very best of luck on the camera.
5. Make sure you insure it - a lot of thefts of cameras lately.

Enjoy your new camera. Everyone is entitled to their opinion which is the best camera they have ever use. I still miss my Contax T2 - I don't shoot film anymore, but the images out of the camera were something else. Again, good luck.

PS It was on my wish list along with the new Leica Q3 if I had hit the Power Ball.

Have seen some folks in reviews claim this camera is 'slow.' Not so, compared to my experience shooting with the X1D II for a couple years - Comparatively this X2D is blazing fast during image composition. The phase detect autofocus system with 5-axis stabilization in my X2D is a huge improvement over the contrast detect autofocus [and no stabilization] in my X1D II [but the X1D II produced stunning images - as well]. The X2D is nowhere near what you'll find in my Full-Frame Sony A9 auto focus - But I am impressed with its speed.

Firstly not a hate reply, just my opinion... I considered purchasing myself recently.

A lot depends on what you intend to do do with the resulting image. For your post, the images are reduce to monitor size and probably only about 8 mpxl in size.

Large print or cropping is the only real need for the massive data of a Hasselblad X2D. The real argument could be about color science, but that has more to do with personal taste as all of today's cameras manufactured produce outstanding results.

The Sony A7 can produce indiscernible print results at 12 mpxl when using good glass at a large print size, so an argument or ones decision can also be about speed, file size, data storage and equipment cost.

Saying a medium format Hasselblad is simply the best camera ever is a stretch if you consider the short comings. It is a "nitch" camera with fairly narrow need for most, and expensive. Also, Hasselblad is getting better but accurate eye/ face auto focus isn't there quite yet, so portraiture at a high "keeper" rate with any king of accuracy at speed would be better served with something in full frame from the big three...

At slow working speed like landscape, tilt-shift glass with full frame will produce twice the sensor size of medium format... and you get a camera body that is capable of much more in the real world.

Mega pixels, Shmega pixels... but, if you are printing super large and you can handle camera focus performance shortcomings, work at a slower pace and have a high performance computer with tons of storage, go for the Hasselblad. For most expecting more for things like social media or for general use maybe not.

I think sharing online opens the door to small minded individuals who write online anything they can spew out of their sucks, things they would dare not say to someone's face - because they are cowards. Now that I got off my chest...

Many of the images I posted are reduced to 10-15MB in size post-process. I agree - the X2D feature set is incomplete. Some features are MIA - That is here's just too much stuff missing right now. Those features, and more should become available in future firmware releases [Cabled remote shutter release, not]. There is no video, and Hasselblad says there won't be. I don't consider that a problem at all - We have Full Frame Sony a9 and a7II cameras [both with IBIS] for any videos shoots [but the X2D camera body does have microphone and speaker capability designed into it]. Have attached an image of my truck [and some Meta Data] from the first series of test images out of the box with the X2D.

Also - never said, "...a medium format Hasselblad is simply the best camera ever.."
What I did say was, "...this is the best camera I have ever owned or shot with, period."

Cheers!

Mentioned in this group the first of the month I had a Hasselblad update being delivered [X1D II 50c to X2D 100c]. This Medium Format mirrorless camera series began with 2016's X1D - which was the first compact [well, relatively] Medium Format mirrorless camera [that I never owned, but was able to shoot a Colleauge's X1D - which is why I did not by this camera design [at ver. 1.0]. The original X1D's image quality was outstanding, but unfortunately the capability for image production left much to be desired. Even the series second model [which I own and intend to sell now] sped things up considerably - like autofocus and processing - wbut as still not quite there.

My Hasselblad X2D camera arrived on Friday last week - Put the camera through the paces Sunday at an event hired to shoot at the hip at events. I shoot in native [RAW] format - the size of each image produced with my Hasselblad X2D was 200mb [I shot over 120 images with the X2D - 110 were step and repeat portraits like the 1st image of Coach Moton and his family]. This productivity would not have been possible with my earlier version 50-megapixel Hasselblad X1D II, with a contrast detection sensor, as opposed to the phase detection sensor in my X2D. While the autofocus system in the X2D is a huge improvement [a tenth of a slower than my Full Frame Sony a9, for the glorious Hasselblad device and I to capture each exposure is not 'slow' to me - more like assuring due diligence in every capture.

That built-in 100c 1-TB solid-state drive - a first for medium format cameras - made my workflow easier. With the internal drive having a write speed up to 2370MB/s, and a read speed up to 2850MB/s], I simply connect the X2D to my iMac for files transfer [faster than the 1TB CFexpress Type B card purchased - which I have set as the backup drive]. What made shooting with my X2D so much easier at an event with about 150 people step and repeat portraits] than the contrast detect [no stabilization] Hasselblad X1D II, were these upgrades:

a) New image sensor. The sensor is the same physical size as the X1D II, but the megapixel count is double. The sensor is 11,656 x 8742 pixels, which actually puts it slightly over 100 megapixels. Huge image files are good, but not if it takes forever to shoot them. This time around I didn't have noticeable any lags. The processor upgrade, paired with an autofocus upgrade that now uses 294 phase detection points makes my ne X2D make noticeably faster than the X1D II.

b) Game changing 5-axis image stabilization [I have shot hand held at 1.0 second shutter speed]. The X2D includes in-body image stabilization, which Hasselblad says offers up to seven stops of stabilization. The company says you can shoot handheld at up to one-second shutter speed, which I saw in my testing. The detail from that 100-megapixel sensor can be stunning in post process [even with edited reduced mb size for internet publish]. Have to let the haters know ['cause haters gonna hate] - this is the best camera I have ever owned or shot with, period.

How are you liking the X2D?

Best camera I have ever owned or shot with, period. Was able to shoot at an event without a hitch with the update from my Hasselblad X1D II to my X2D [two days after receiving the X2D last Friday]. Post-processing images from 200mb RAW [.3FR] to 100mb Lightroom DNG [Digital negative] to 3mb JPG for publish] was an easy flow. That built-in X2D 1-TB solid-state drive - A first for medium format cameras - made it easier. With the internal drive having a write speed up to 2370MB/s, and a read speed up to 2850MB/s], I simply connect the X2D to my iMac for files transfer [faster than the 1TB CFexpress Type B card inserted - which I have set as the backup drive]. My X2D - even in a jpeg 50%+ crop - provides richness of details from the RAW files produced by that 100 Megapixel Medium Formatsensor using Hasselblad's color rendering science. With leaf shutter lenses, will this camera capable of creating incredible shots not seen with other Medium Format systems. Have attached a few of my test shots out of the box...
