Thanks Arnold. I have seen a lot of Sandhill Cranes this winter, almost always on the ground. If I watch them long enough they begin to take on the aspect of large flightless birds and I wonder how the heck they can fly. Your beautiful photo reminds me of just how elegant they are in the air.
