Your grandpa had a fancy coal furnace. My grandmother had athritis and used to put one lump at a time into the furnace. Her spine was so badly bent (osteoporosis ) she couldn't use a shovel . Wouldn't let anyone help her till she was almost 90.
No pics tho. Photos were for importance occasions, not some crappy furnace. :0)

If you've ever been forced to find parking on a different street, move your family picnic, or take your kids snapshots in a place other than you planned....
All of these happened to us. Granted, we lived in Hawaii, but the producers just shooed people away like they owned the place. Yeah, so you have a permit to film Magnum driving his Ferrari down the street ( actually pulled on a trailer),but why did you block off the street for 6 hours?
I can see permit + fee , but possibly a sliding scale or different categories. Depends really on where.

Unsk**led Workers Report for New Jobs
By Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Sixty-four unsk**led workers reported to new jobs in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday as part of a federal jobs program that provides employment for people unable to find productive work elsewhere.

The new hires, who have no talents or abilities that would make them employable in most workplaces, will be earning a first-year salary of $174,000.

For that sum, the new employees will be expected to work 137 days a year, leaving them with 228 days of vacation. Some critics have blasted the federal jobs program as too expensive, noting that the workers were chosen last November in a bloated and wasteful se******n process that cost the nation nearly $4 billion. But Davis Logsdon, a University of Minnesota economics professor who specializes in labor issues, said that the program is necessary to provide work “for people who honestly cannot find employment anywhere else.” He went on to say, “Expensive as this program is, it is much better to have these people in jobs than out on the street."

Might take a while, that's what my doc told me.
You also might want to try some different power drugstore glasses just for photography. My doc said those were fine for computer as well. Still using them after 15 years.

Or, if you spend less time with your nose in the computer (or smartphone in my case) you may even find your eyesight improving in a few years.. ok, about 15 years. Since I'm not sewing and don't spend as much time on the puter anymore, my prescription is weaker. I do spend lots of time driving tho. (Can't live on SS, so I'm driving a truck.)
However, since the lens in my eyes have been removed, my eyes are a bit more sensitive to light. They're bluish - green. Darker eyes not as sensitive. I do carry about 5 pairs of sunglasses in the truck, ranging from dark browinsh green to lighter brown , oranges and yellow. I like brown better than green or grey, just personal preference.

I find if I start to get a headache while driving, it's usually from squinting from the glare. Changing the color of the sunglasses to eliminate glare usually gets rid of the headache.
Good luck. It's a whole different world when you can really see it. I actually had to learn how to see again. :0)

Only a few have those mansions. Most of the musicians are barely getting by. Musicians, not agents... thats a whole different story...

Problem with NCLB...not all students are created equal.
"All children can learn...." whatever.
Sorry, thats just not true. In spite of whatever wellmeaningness...
there are smart people, average people and not so smart people. We're talking book learning, not street smart or common sense. Not everyone can learn algebra, or can write a 500 word logical composition.

I taught 8th grade special education, kids that were "slow" only with book learning. Reading level around 2nd or 3rd grade, still struggling with times tables. Life skills... as in survival...way ahead of many adults.

Some people never learned any acceptable coping skills, way back thru their patents, grandparents etc. We need to get back to basics, also geography and civics. Kids aren't learning much, mostly how to learn.
College level courses in hi school and music ( choir, band, orchestra) excepted.
Don't expect much improvement as long as the totally out of touch with real life idiots as running things.
