Farm Kittens
Took these yesterday
Took these in Albuquerque in 2007. My first road runner I saw and it was in the snow!!!!!! We are from Minnesota and don't see these up here.
All photos that I post are (c) by Henry J Miller and photos by henry and Barbara Ann Miller and photos by barb
We, my wife and I started with a Farmer's market. We went with the rural theme. Roosters, old barns, scenery photos. There was a very popular drive that closed in St Paul that had been open since 1953. On the last night I took black and white photos of the drive in. It sold like hot cakes and in August we did a show at a car crusing club. Bald eagles are very popular and you cant go wrong with flower photos. I have one black and white that I will post and my wife's iris photo. Both took blue ribbons at a county fair. The black and white took 2 1st place ribbons.
We did a little experimenting and changed the order that the people look at our photos. After about 2-3 shows you get the hang of it. Hope I helped a little. In 2 years we have recieved 22 ribbons for our photos.
"Senior Reserve Champion Photo" Dakota County Fair, Minnesota
If I may, another thought, idea. 4H is involved with a lot of projects. One way to start is maybe to have each one do a photo story. 5 photos that tells a story. I am not taking credit for this but I saw this and I wrote it down.
Take lots of photos
Have your camera always ready
Look behind you
Keep learning
Have fun

Good topic. How about some cows?
I live in Dakota County in Minnesota. At the county fair I am amazed at the quality of the photos from the 4H kids. Maybe check with other chapters to see what they do. Welcome and lots of luck.
