When the subject is willing and photogenic is the time make several images - from the left, from the right, close ups, etc. Opportunities should not be wasted.
You might want to try the NYIP (New York Institute of Photography) on line courses took them years ago and got a lot out of them.
Is this a typical mating position or just serendipity?
Tracy,
The distortion is normal when shooting with wide angle lenses. It can be corrected in PS as follows. 1) Select All, 2) Edit, 3) Transform, 4) perspective (If both sides tilted same amount), or 5) Distort, if the two sides not tilted the same amount. Put cursor on corner and "pull" it out. Sounds harder than it is to do.
Looks great cropped. Also, getting a double rainbow is quite a feat!
Tatala,
Your assumption that the white woman was the black child's mother is irrelevant and as unacceptable as is your assumption you had prior permission from the white couple to photograph the black child. You must have, or should have known that this would be contentious and could have avoided it by first explaining what you wanted to do and why (your child is beautiful, I'd like to take his photograph. I'll send you a copy, etc.)
I look forward to seeing it.
Brent,
Great tight crops with no extraneous clutter. If you manipulated the night scene to have it match what you saw there is no foul. What f stop, shutter speed and I SO did you use. If you added the sky it is more a creation than photo - fine if acknowledged as such.
Stash,
You've been busy shooting. Nice simple (meaning uncluttered) shot with great perspective. Perhaps a thin 5 pixel black border would separate the shot from the background and focus the viewers attention in, but great as it is
Plymouth 34,
Great vision, composition, framing etc. In #1 the people show scale and those in red in make the shot. Red advances and blue recedes. Cover them up and it's much less of a shot.

Just shows what a bit of spit can do!
Angler, good catch! I would crop off everything to the right of the two green bushes, then make a print and give it to the homeowner. I think he would appreciate it as much as we do.
Just,
The tighter crop of #2 helps make this shot, and the people in the later shot really gives the viewer a sense of the scale of waterfalls!
Stash,
I really like the composition and the sepia adds to the timelessness of the image. My only thought is that you might want to selectively lighten the wall on the right so the bucket stands out instead of merging with the wall.
