Sometimes your pond mates are not very considerate.
Oh -Those #%$& Geese
Did I step In It ?
Thanks to all for the kind comments.
You captured the effect of the Harmattan beautifully.
Outstanding series - beautiful !!!!
The male shoveler is a beautiful duck. They are also not common on Cape Cod. Great job getting such a variety of birds in a single outing.
Distinguished by their large spoon-shaped bill, this female was the only one of her species on a pond with a large flock of mallards.
I like the added dimensions of depth and color the cross current waves give to the shot. Excellent.
Thank you all for the kind comments !!!!
Because of the extreme cold I went out with only with a basic 18 -55 mm lens, I took 11 shots (hand-held - raw) panning from left to right. Did some basic adjustments in adobe raw and photo merged in photoshop. Had to convert the large file to a mid-quality jpeg to upload it here.
This fragile marsh in Plymouth Ma is a haven for many different species of wildlife.
We have some great beaches in our area - especially in the winter . No people. If you haven't been there you might like the beach at the Center Hill Rd Preserve in South Plymouth. Mostly stones and Seals close in during the winter.
One of my favorite but increasingly difficult to find subjects-great find.
