The Nest gimbal head seems to be popular with many of the Hogs. Maybe ome of them will chime in on this with specific models. I know I am a bit confused.

I'm sitting here with the nest gimbal head and it has no model no. on it.
It is the only gimbal head they make that I am aware of.
Also, the exclusive US dealer for it is MTShooter, though it is available on Amazon at pretty inflated price.
I do have an invoice but it is 1300 miles and 100 degrees F. Away in Michigan.Lol!

Your link to MT's thread is spot on for me on why to have one, I'm very happy with it.
Hope that helps.

I recently got the nest from MT and What I like is that once balanced I can rotate my A-77 and Sigma 150 - 500 on 3 axis' and the whole rig is gravity neutral. I just point and it stays. I usually lock it for shots, but no worries about something on the top swiveling down and banging on the tripod.

Haven't been out enough yet, but very pleased with the rig.

Oops, sorry I shoulda typed nest carbon fiber gimbal head, my bad.
I'm blamin it on old age! Lol!

One place on the web I make it a point to visit is "The Canadian Geographic Photo Club site.

Some of the landscapes are thrilling and the wildlife something else, I hold them as a standard to aspire to.

It's easy to see why, I bookmarked the site, thanks!

I got stupid and set my phone on the gunwale while trailering our boat, amazingly it stayed there 50 miles home. Never again.

I like the shots, the people in 1&2 give a real sense of scale.

I like all three, but I like #3 the best!
You obviously aren't afraid to get "down and dirty" for a good pic!

Happy Holidays and Welcome to you from another hobbiest newbie.
Your three shots are great and show a good eye!
You might have gotten away from photography for a while but it sure hasn't left you!
I hope you kept all your old gear, those Minolta lenses are great, I have several I use on my Sony A-77.

Nice as usual Brent. My eye followed the stairs shadow and the stairs right to the top of the tank. Did I do good? Lol
