Taking on the responsibility of being a law enforcing agent of the state has to be one of the toughest jobs out there. I don't envy them and would not want their task. Their peer pressure cannot be helpful..and their own experiences can be traumatic. Then to have to met out justice in a balanced measure when you don't know if the guy in the car you just stopped is drug crazed and armed can put you over the top.
Ramming the bike rider is over the top, period. Claiming fad
ed brakes is chicken shit lying, period.
I'm going to go take a few pictures, how about you??

Great little story. It puts frosting on ignorance, bigotry and intolerance and has that unmistakable religious 'ring of truth' to it. WTF

I think that the cop just did a slow burn until he lost sight of how extreme his 'righteous, law enforcing mind set took him. If he wanted to make his presence to the motorcyclist clear, why did he ride back so far?
Yes, the bike was going fast, but we never see just how fast and yes , he should not have passed on a double yellow line, however he was or is a very skilled rider and never put anyone but himself in harms way. Bikes are not the safest means of transport, right?
We saw two or more bikes coming the other way, so to me it is clear that those long curves are popular to bikers. But maybe not, maybe just a coincidence.
The biker slowed down after having a little fun on a good twisty road and came to a controlled and timely stop at the light. If he had run the light,I would not be writing this note. You could see that his mind was on what was in front of him and he clearly was not prepared to be rammed, did I say RAMMED?by the overheated cop.
I agree with the writer who said that the cop's job is a dirty one and he has to deal with some pretty bad people. But other than liking to push his bike hard through the turns and pass slower traffic, this guy on his bike was okay. He should NOT have ridden so fast nor passed on double lines, agreed. The cop should NOT have been a gun toting brute who lacked professionalism when he didn't get his own way.

When I was a bicycle pedaling youngster back in the 40s, a little spending money could be had by picking up pop bottles. They were returned to a store and the reward made the effort worthwhile.
This approach to insuring a pretty good percentage of recycling worked then, so why not now???
We understand the concept of recycling scrap metal, so why not plastic? Put another way, the cost of not responsibly reclaiming plastic, in my mind, far exceeds the cost of not doing so.

Why not give these two would-be criminals a chance to correct their errant ways? Provide them with hacksaws, hammers and chisels, shovels etc and insist that they reduce the burned out truck to pieces small enough to fit in a shoe box?? I bet they'll think twice before they pull another stunt.

The camera operator must have been deaf. The speakers would make reference to something, say a secret door and the camera did not pan to it. The gorgeous chandeliers...same thing. Oh well.

They give the guy who sold the Brooklyn bridge a hard time, but without a willing buyer, he'd still own it!

OOOOOPs! On closer inspection of your fine photo, I think I see that there is only one bridge. The lower tier is what caught my eye.

That dear Farrokh is the issue. When death is the price paid for not complying with what the mullah has set down as the only behavior..we got a problem. Intolerance throughout the world takes many forms and degrees of excess. The western world might make some really dumb decisions, but stoning a woman who finds love outside of her home where the man thinks he has the right to treat her like chattel isn't one of them.
Put another way, A religion which condones killing the non-believer is just plane rotten.

The suspension bridge in the foreground must have an interesting story behind it. Would you please provide a few details?

Do you mean appear to be a woman with her own sense of expression? Please explain why your brothers want their women to look like a display of tents at a sporting goods store?
