You should feel free to manipulate your photos to suit your tastes. If others like your work, great. If not, oh well. Art is an expression of the creative ability that makes us unique. "Good" is subjective. If you are asked to record reality such as for court, that's a different story.
Sorry. I can't do anything but scroll back to close the app (Gmail). It is a full screen official looking message which identifies my phone, Moto x Android and says I have four viruses from visiting adult sites and the phone is damaged. I don't do adult sites and the phone is fine.
For me, the histogram is a very valuable tool for judging exposure and tonal range both in camera and in post-processing. Especially in camera because you cannot go back to the scene in post-processing. Especially useful is the gamut warning.
I completely agree. That is exactly what I do. I actually have to close the Gmail app completely. Trying to close the window does not close it. I know that it's a hoax, but I'm only seeing it when I'm looking at the posts on the uhh site. Just wanted to alert them in case there is a compromise in the site.
It's a full screen notice that pops up that looks like it is or says it's from Google. It is not. It says I am infected because I have been looking at adult sites. I do not look at adult sites. This is on my phone which is an Android. I do not do much web surfing with my phone.
Anyone else getting bogus virus warnings when they are looking at this site?
Drag the shutter down to a 15th of a second or even slower. Let The Flash determine the exposure on the people dancing. Many years as a wedding photographer produced lots of great results without frozen people or black backgrounds.
We are working on a pollinator habitat. We have a long way to go because it is labor and cost intensive.
I bought, use and love one of the silicon covers through Amazon. I do a good bit of down in the dirt photography and it provides good protection from grit and scratches or even the stray rain or sweat drop. I remove it from time to time, but I don't find a lot of dust collected like you see on cellphone covers.
There are lots and lots of spectacular photos of the event, especially by NASA, but it is gratifying to make our own images. I suspect this is the reason most of us pick up a camera anyway. I was surprised to see solar flares and sun spots.
Infared preset in LR as a starting point, then adjusted to taste from there.
A couple of more barn shots.
Thank you for the nice compliment.
