Thank you very much to you all!
I enjoy the feeling and it's inspiring.

Getting ready for an evening session with my friends at the Observatory just near Oslo.
Hopefully i will be able to practice some more on my night-sky photography and share my results with you.

Heads up: Today's supposed to be visible lots of stars swarms I believe you call it. Lot's of falling stars. :)

thank you for your kind words.

Until know i just pushed my self to learn/understand and get better results, but never known how much I accomplished. Always been very interested in how my pictures are accepted among the formed eyes for photography.

This subject Mac vs PC never get's old. It is fair to say this is just old now. Based on the fact that both uses Intel architecture is just a matter of optimizing your computer and enviroment.

Since i've been using win7, my computer runs as smooth as any MAC i've seen. And i do have co-workers using MAC's also. I am using an I5 cpu with 20GB ram , 4GB ram VGA,and 256GB SSD system disk attached to a 6TB NAS, providing one iSCSI drive for my computer with gigabit link between computer-NAS. My transfer rates NAS -PC is pretty much constant 50MB/s. And this is max i can do with normmal 3.5 HD 7200rpm. Still this kicks the hell of USB 2.0 which which in most cases peaks at 25MB/s. SSD external disk performs better on USB2.0 and up than normal 3.5' HD/7200rpm. But for now i cant invest in big SSD drives. And from my experience , I am finished using single HD storage. Redudancy is a must these days, and people can argue on this matter as much as they want, but you will never have better performance, backup, and redundency then NAS/SAN or RAID solutions storage. When SSD drives will be affordable (1TB and up of course), i will be able to increase my IO even more. AS for now , i don't suffer of CPU load , and can't see myself running to upgrade it right now. A huge advantage is also having a better VGA card with GPU.

By all means , if gold is not a subject , then I wouldn't think about it. if you would like to spend more cash on the photo equipment, then use half the money to invest in NAS storage.

In conclusion, it's up to you. I can see the burning desire to move over to MAC, just don't do it on false statement. Comparing your PC today to the new MAC you looking at, i cant see how you will benefit more from it. I keep reading "My MAC is better, never back on PC", based on what? Smooth is not enough argument for me. My Windows is smooooooth as silk also.

Maybe i missed something along, but still don't understand what you mean with

"LR (lightroom), can only recognize 1 video card if you have more than 1 it will only use one it picked the internal versus the radeon r7 200"

I understand that when you use Lightroom you see nothing on the other screen. It's black.

Lightroom has nothing to do with recognizing monitor and vga. Your Windows is loading a driver for the graphic cards where all application take use. When you are logged on in Windows , do you have your desktop stretched on both screens ? Is yes , then your Lightroom should work on whichever monitor you start it on.

If your problem is that you cannot use both monitors at once, regardless program, then this is different problem.

Regardless of the scenario, it seems like you have a problem where you have to use tools such as Task Manager, Performance or get more advanced tools from Sysinternals.com and have a look at your Windows/Machine performance. Whatch your memory, see for leaks. Look for heavy loads of write to disk or memory. What does your CPU say?

This is my only advice I can give from my seat.

I'm getting used to this. it was just a sample related the the cropping section. and then i followed the suggested link :)

I shall pay more attention

i see . thought it was a newer model.
Not much i can say then. I would start cleaning out all drivers and reinstalling them. try updated one, but guessed you tried that.

Having in mind the internal vga shares memory, that could be your key problem. As a technical guy, shared memory vga cards have always performed badly in heavier loads in my opinion.

If memory leaking is a factor here, which in your case may be (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-8-and-8-1-Knowledge-Base/Windows-8-1-Memory-leak-with-Intel-HD-Graphics-on-certain/ta-p/1590274) , then I would definitely invest into a new vga card with multiple outputs rather than trying to figure and fix this one. You will gain more from the computer setup you have :)

Sorry i cant be of much help here. But your problem history tells me this may be a nut to just solve by myself in writing. :(

PS: if you card has just one HDMI , but also a DVI , DP etc, you can buy a converter for that,

hehe .. that put things in another perspective :).
This can be driver issue or ....first thing came into my mind is :

why do you connect each monitor to each card ? your Radeon card is more then perfect, and it has multiple outputs.

Second : I dont exactly understand what you mean your "LR only recongnizes the internal vga?". What about windows. Does your desktop extend on both screens ?
Can you have both monitors connected to Radeon card(and btw:in a lots of cases, disabling the internal vga card when adding better one works much better)?

This is where i am stuck :)

To convert from a horizontal format to a vertical format and keep the "sky" portion at the top you would have to "stretch" the image vertically or "squish" it horizontally to fit your dimension and then you will have an image with ALL OF THE ELEMENTS but NOT IN THE CORRECT PROPORTIONS. See my "Resize Question" that apparently got moved to Photo Gallery for some odd reason!!

On my way , thank you :)

There is one possibility.

Open the Cropping tool, and also click on Lens Correction and choose the Manual Tab.

Now crop the image to the aspect ratio you want, then force fit the image by using the Scale and Aspect sliders in the Manual > Transform panel. Do not check the Constrain Crop box.

Doing this will distort the image and will fit it to different aspect ratios.

As a standard I always use Lens Correction and check for Enable Profile Correction and Remove Chromatic Aberration. Constrain crop always off when doing cropping. What i just discovered is that I can choose a predefined aspect size. And that is very helpful in my opinion. It give me and idea about how much i should crop for the different sizes.

I just gave it a try now :
first picture is the original crop i had.
Second is the crop using the aspect formats and chosen a 16x9. I think I'm staring to see the light :)

Thanx for new input Lesdmd
So basically I have to think about the size of the print I want if I want to consider proper crop. Or else does not matter too much. I understand that my picture details would be poor if i crop a lot , and print big.

Please don't shoot me if I got it wrong. All my experience is self provided and never asked. Now since I am on this forum pages I dare to put those questions and fill in the small gaps i have.
