With limited time, I'm beginning to get to know the fz80.
Very nice to know how you experience the differences. I'm just learning how to use the fz80. I haven't had a chance to take a moon shot, but hope to next time there's a full moon.
Location, location, location, location, and location:
Location of your wallet to the camera, and equipment.
Location of you and your equipment in relation to the subject.
Location of your passion for your photography interest(s).
Location of your joy to the end product.
Location of your phone, tablet, or computer to sites like this that enrich your perspective of everything photography
Thank you, all, for enriching my perspective every day!
I have 3 genuine "super zoom" cameras : Canon sx530hs, Panasonic Lumix fz70, and an fz80. I say genuine because they have 50x and 60x zooms, not including the digital capabilities. I love all three. I could afford them. The 2 Panasonic's were purchased on eBay. They allow me to take quality pictures from a wide variety of distances. For my photography perspective (enthusiastic amateur) I am very satisfied!
I have a Canon sx530hs, a Panasonic Lumix fz70, and an fz80. The canon is the smallest. A 50x zoom that has 4x that digital capability. You can find any of these three on Ebay for 200 or less. You likely won't be disappointed at all.
That's what I ended up doing. It's, no doubt, quicker than the wifi way! Thanks!
Greg
I wanted to be able to use wifi. Taking the card out and plugging it into the computer is much quicker anyway.🙃
I've tried connecting to my Note 10, and my Asus computer - haven't been able to accomplish the task. Is the only solution a Lumix Club connection?
Thanks!
I just bought, received it 2 days ago, an fz80 - open box on Ebay. So far, I really like it, for the same reasons you give. Thanks for the post.

Very nice! Great details.
Nice picture. The toast and peanut butter looks very appetizing!
Very nice! Great colors highlighting each other. The details in flowering plants always contain surprises, like the face on the bud.🙂
A couple of pictures using the Panasonic fz70. I love the moon and squirrel shots.
I would add, is there a noticeable difference between the fz 80 and the1000 II?
The Sony gets great reviews all around. Nice to hear you like it so well!
