Aren't they pretty hard to find? Love #3 closeup - needs to comb his hair. Good shots.

I am always drawn to this kind of opportunity so I like these photos. It is always difficult to criticize other people's images because everyone has a different vision for what they are looking for. That said, to me the most important thing is the vehicle - seeing it clearly, enjoying the texture, seeing the luscious detail. The sky is a bit meh on that particular day, the telephone pole and the mailboxes - stuff like that are irritating when I'm out there shooting, too. When I looked at each of them in download they all benefited from cropping. The cropping made them the true focus and created focal points and used the rule of third which IMO enhanced these particular images. You have super detail and that is what I want to see. Well, that's just me.

I enjoyed these. Is that a flock of turkey vultures hanging out on the railing? Seems like there's a joke in there somewhere.

Ed, I went on Flickr and looked at your beautiful photographs. When you shoot the flowers do you use a "stacking" process of shooting? Do you post process to enhance the colors, etc? I noticed you have a refined sense of color and many times you must be conscious of how all the other colors affect the subject you are shooting. You use color quite effectively to create a mood. Finally, what kind of camera and lenses do you use? Your shots are so deep and clean - it must have to do somewhat with your equipment. Well, I hope you don't mind me asking these questions. I am in the process of looking for a camera set up and after doing lots of research I am still stumped. I decided to take my time and ask questions in hopes the answers will lead me to the camera and lenses that will work for me. Your images are truly beautiful and I thank you for sharing them with all of us. I just want to fall into them and found myself enlarging them further to see the fine details in the flowers.

I'm new here so The Old Mill is new to me. What a wonderful place to take photographs. The way you shot it has me thinking of a fairy house in a beautiful setting. Lovely shots. The light was so nice.

Great shots. Really like the colors of the birds on a rainy day. The keel-billed toucan is something!

Beautiful - the background is even Hawaiian hued. The light is so different there. I lived in Wisconsin for many years and I really noticed that difference when I would bring something I thought was so gaily colored back from Hawaii. When it got back to northern Wisconsin the colors looked completely different.

I love the super detail of the hawk in the photos but, oh, the cycle of life is hard to watch sometimes.
