Full moon: Two images, one exposed for the sky and one for the lake. Imported from Lightroom as layers into Photoshop and merged.

While we were on holiday we were staying for a week in Naples. We went early to sit and watch the sun go down and I got eaten by those pesky ‘noseeums’. Bob doing a sudoku puzzle while I’m snapping.

Canon 650D, Tamron 18-400 lens.

Please try the downloads

The colors and reflections in the bottom shot are amazing!

From a trip in April 2016. I have been making adjustments on my monitor settings trying to correct some issues with brightness and white balance. I knew there were a lot of trips where the images were looking too dark and dull when shared to public media, so decided to re-work the edits. Monument Valley was one of the posts that suffered most from those problems so I am sharing the new and improved (I hope) version for your consideration. Hope you enjoy.

Very nice images. You have captured the essence of one of my favorite places to visit!

I'm taking advantage of the brief time we'll be in Arizona to spend as much time at the Salt River, taking pictures of the wild horses. Here a few of my favorites from my last trip.
The final picture was taken just before dark. Obviously my shutter speed should have been much higher but I actually kind of like the blurred effect of the two running horses. I'd particularly like your reaction to it.

Hi Sally, I like them all, and especially the mother and foal.

Hello, looking for some help on where to go on the Oregon Coast for photography of course. Just wondering where you might suggest for a motorhome trip. Town names would be great along with what you would go photograph while there. Anyone who has done a west coast from California up to Washington, what is on your don't miss list. I'm trying to put together camp sites and how long to stay at each place.
Thanks I have just never been out west and not sure where to start!
Beth

If I was making the trip, I would start in Manzanita Oregon, ride horses along the beach. Hop over to Tillamook the see their cheese being made, and get some of their cheddar cheese spread and your favorite crackers to enjoy on your trip up the coast. Seaside has a lot of the "haystack" giant rocks in the ocean close to shore. At the top of the Oregon coast is Astoria, after seeing it cross the bridge into Washington State, see the lighthouse, the ,port at Iwaco and follow the peninsula to the end. It is scenic, and dip your toes into the Pacific several times along the way. Enjoy! Watch the sun set over the ocean. Build a driftwood fire on the beach at night and relax and listen to the waves.

Your shot reminds me of when our family was snowed on in July in Yellowstone in the early 60's.

Some 30+ year old slides that I recently scanned with an Epson V600. No PP. They are from an old photo project.

Thanks for the memories. Whats there now? Only one drive in left in northern Illinois now.

Your pal Oliver is very cute. My Oliver was 1/2 German Shepherd and 1/2 Golden Retreiver. He saved my life from an attack by a pit bull.
