This really is an inappropriate question. Comes across as some kind of perverse fetish.

There are a ton of books on studio/portrait lighting that will answer your needs if your motive is not a fetish.

Another advantage...when sailing and your boat is heeling over to port or starboard you have one keel in the air providing ballast/stability.

Dual keels you are referring to are called "bilge keels". If you have a boat with bilge keels one advantage is they can be self supporting...as soon in photo, ie. good in areas that have major tide changes.
