I acquired this lens...well, a long time ago. I was surfing on the Bay, and i saw an Exakta listed with a mysterious lens. The seller obviously didn't know anything about the lens. At first, i had hopes that it was a Domiron 50, but with a bit of searching online, i found that it was a Kilfitt Macro 40/3.5 from 1955ish.

I believe that this is actually a 1:2 macro. It is a nice all purpose lens

LOL!!! I see the town I live in isn't the only one run by a bunch of turkeys!!

Good catch!!

Turkeys are only HALF of the political structure here; the other half are the town deer, that live in town year round. I believe that they realize that if they stay in town, they are never in danger of being shot

When i order things, they invariably have to make a stop in Salt Lake. It is amazing just how many post offices there are in Salt Lake, and the parcel has to arrive and depart through each one of them, often taking days to process!

I was going through old pictures, and came across this one. I can remember where this was taken, but i cannot recall the lens used or even which camera. I can remember that it was cold and a sunny morning. As bright as it was, i was pleased how it turned out.

That lens would make a great portrait lens! Is the pinkish color cast due to the lens or lighting?

Stan

it was the lighting, Stan

Are any of you out there collectors of Konica AR lenses? I have 3 that I can sell; If any of you have an interest, shoot me an offer. If you would like any additional photos, just let me know. They are all in excellent condition.

The lenses are;
28/3.5...this is the older version with the silver aperture ring
52/1.8...also with the silver aperture ring
135/3.2
(the 135 has hardly been used)

(the 55/3.5 has sold)

Also, if interest to Konica collectors, I also have two of the original adapters for the film cameras....the Exacta and M42.

This lens, no. 3755xx, is actually a ‘K’ model that was AI modified, and dates to 1972.
Our friend’s dog loves to play with her ball, and I was glad to catch a pose.

Both shot at f2

I'm surprised that this non Ai lens will not mount on the 40x. I have a D40 and all my non Ai lenses mount just fine but without any control, of course. I didn't think they changed anything on the mount when Nikon brought out the 40x. Wasn't it just a sensor change?

Afaik.....the update to the D40x was minimal. What i have found online is that the earliest Nikkor F non ai lens mount were 1mm (or thereabouts) taller, thus this would be the reason for mounting difficulties to bodies and adapters. I did a comparison with an AI lens, and there is a noticable difference. However, this problem was noticed early on, as i also have a 5.8cm 1.4 from 1960 which mounts easily to everything.

NIKKOR-P Auto 10.5cm f2.5
I received this lens a few days ago after seeing it online for what i thought was an excellent price. The lens, for its age, is in beautiful condition. Over the past year i have read through reviews and personal testimonies from users about the various versions of this model, and finally decided that i wanted to acquire one of the earliest 9 bladed lenses. Finding a copy, however, proved to be very difficult. Then, the other day, there was this one! This one, no. 122733 dates to 1960. The seller only listed that there were no defects other than a small scratch on the body, which is hardly worth noting. The scratch that i did find was on the rear element, but so close to the edge as to have no effect on my photos.
While all parts of the lens function very well, i quickly learned about early mounting problem, as i can only use this lens on my D5000. It will not mount to my D40x, or to my Nik-M43 adapter. (Fotodiox) While it will mount to my D5000, turning the apeture ring is very difficult. Overall, this is a beautiful piece of glass and i am very happy with it.
