This is a link to a phote of the water intake on that type aircraft.

I find it hard to believe that a trout could be "scooped up" and still be recognizable as a fish.

Interesting. I wonder if those yachts are being delivered to buyers or are being transported for the owners..

Most likely being transported to cruising destinations. Works out to be cheaper than voyaging to the cruising grounds.

The Sea Otters were a lot of fun. As soon as mom would dive to gather mussels the pup would make a beeline to our boat, it was very curious. They were in the cove with us most of the first day, we didn't see them the next day, perhaps mom wasn't comfortable with the pups interest in us.

The boat is a Pacific Seacraft "Crealock" 37 and yes it is oursÂ….well, ours and the Credit Unions. :)

Was that Folkestone?
One question I've never found an answer to. What happened to the DC5?

Only a few were built. Some were operated by civilian airlines with one of those ending up being captured and used by the Japanese during WWII. Others were used by the Navy and Marines.

Is that a ME-109? Sure don't see those! Many thanks.

No, technically it isn't a 109. It is a licensed built copy of a 109 called the Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 Buchon. More info here.

Has there been a lot of snow? Snowload can make a boat sit a bit lower and take on water through engine exhaust, etc.

I have the twin light. I think one advantage to it is the ability to move the flash heads around the ring to change the lighting direction. (I don't know if the ring light has the ability to "turn off" part of the flash). You can also remove the flash head from the ring and mount it remotely (within reach of the power cord) to again change lighting direction/effect.
