Although your facts are roughly correct your photo is not. The first shows Khafre's, the 2nd largest with some of the capping still on it. I climbed inside Khufu's to the Tomb room first trip, to the Khafre tomb room 2nd trip. What an experience! Nice photos.

BTW, Khafres (capped one) looks taller in your photos because it sits up on a hill, the larger Khufu is in a depression.

Belated Merry Christmas to you & the Mrs. It was nice to see her photo. She was always a great model but swear she even looks better & younger. The best of a New Year to you two.

Although no experience with Northern Lights from airplanes I have shot a number of sunsets & sunrises. Recommend don't put camera on window or lean against forward seat. Lock your elbows into your ribs (use yourself as a tripod), get lens as close to pane as possible, zoom & focus "thru" the window at infinity distance setting. I try to use 1/100, that determines my f-stop & ISO. Good Luck.

What I see here is a female dog laying on her side ready to feed her young. I don't see a human female.
Although I see the model's face up against her arm, I do like your interpretation too. I see that too.

I may be wrong but to expect common decency among professionals is not hard to imagine, or at least I thought so until your response.
Not to beat a dead horse, but in this case you two were NOT professionals. He was just a guy (even said not to consider his position) buying a print and you appear to be an amateur photographer selling one, even if a very nice one. (No disrespect intended, just meaning it doesn't sound like you were selling your work before or would not have proceeded this way).

With my previous 39 yrs in Sales & Marketing my best guess he had "buyer's remorse" after hearing the price or maybe even mentioned to his wife (if married) and she gave him some flack on price or where he was going to hang it. It would be so interesting to hear his side. But he would not be the first to regretting a price. Let it go before it devours you or affects any work relationships.

I believe you are the one at fault here and he owes you no apology or whatever you are looking for. The price should have been determined prior to the customization, etc. His specialty is a doctor, yours should have been pricing your work beforehand. Out of ignorance he may have well thought half your price was a fair price. If you didn't know what to charge you could have gotten back to him. And to accept $50 less (15%ish) simply because of no change was silly. A simple "you still owe me $50" or "give me $400, will give you change tomorrow" was all that was needed.

I learned long ago when someone says "its not about the money" it is always about the money. Learn your lesson, move on, life is short.

You don't want to create an Album, need to create a List. Then it is a simple 2-step process to add to it.
1 - On photo desired click Add To List.
2 - Then when List(s) shows up click on it. Done but I forget if you have to back out to see or maybe close MM, then re-open. Do immediately and will still be signed in.

Stardust, thanks very much for your post. I didn't at all mean to imply that i'm a "nanny censor". If you and your model are cool with doing explicit work together, that's great!
No, didn't mean that, was explaining why MM allows more explicit photos than like Facebook, etc. You stated you were surprised they were allowed.

Although I have shot a number of nudes in my earlier days, now don't have a studio so more limited to "glamour" type. Plus now 90% of my photography is travel related.

BTW been interesting to watch you come out of your shell since your original post. I seldom follow a thread this long but excited for you. One last word of caution... don't ever be left alone with a minor when shooting. They were teenagers when we were younger, but today they are like going on 25-30, wise to the world. If unhappy with anything, they know they can ruin your life with one word to someone even if untrue. Just based on observation.

this style, and have no issues with your pics, i'm just surprised that it's allowed on MM. Paul
MM is a "closed" system for Photographers to post so they verify you are legit, plus one can choose to filter out the nude photos when viewing. Yeah for Freedom of choice versus nanny censors. Wishing you success at an age that you can "get out of your old self" because you don't need to impress anyone but yourself.

Depends your purpose for shooting but for me now no longer doing this for profit, out of business, retired. Just read interested in ballet, may be hard to find on Model Mayhem, but here is what I do. Other model areas still good for experience and build a portfolio while searching for ballerinas.

1> I shoot the model, often at a pre-arranged event*.
2> Have them sign a shorten release that gives me full rights but also for them to have full use. I am no longer interested in selling.
3> Delete photos I don't like, duplicates, etc.
4> PP the rest. I often text them a shot or two to tease, especially if delayed in processing all. In reassures my honesty.
5> Send them a flash drive if we did a full session, or email if just a dozen or so.
6> Keep your promise and they will tell their friends. I now occasionally get contacted if I am going to a certain event or would I like to shoot with them, mentioning their friend's name.

I find digital files are all models want today, most are going to be shared on social media. They can have a favorite or two printed cheaply at Walgreens if they wish.

* Great place to find amateur models are car shows, festivals especially that have a theme (Renaissance Faires, etc), outdoor bars in unique settings, etc. Have business cards (can do on your printer) with email & text info. A FB or website with your work helps too.

I don't believe that Canon, Olympus, Sony etc. make batteries.
I could be wrong, but I believe that they obtain batteries from a independent battery manufacturer and have the
labeled on it and call it OEM.
Aye?
True for Sony - I have Sony & Nikon cameras - thus reason I buy 3rd party Wasabi vs 3rd party Sony at a 3rd the price.

"Sony Energy Devices Corporation handled the development, design and manufacturing of primary and rechargeable cell batteries that can be used for many applications like mobile phones, tablets, laptops, digital cameras, power tools, robotic cleaners, watches, calculators, energy storage for data servers and homes, etc. In 2016, Sony and Japanese company Murata Manufacturing reached an agreement to sell Sony's lithium-ion battery business. This transfer of business was completed on September 1, 2017. The new company has been named Tohoku Murata Manufacturing."

Have bought a few Watson but been Wasabi for years because Amazon has always had them regardless of camera match.
