Leave the sky, Marg.

I think I will, Stan but will darken it just a tad.

The blue sky is fine Marg. If it were me I would get rid of the two barren twigs up in that corner.

Thanks, Ava’sPapa! I’ll do that! By the way - I just read your post about Brent Harder. So very sorry to hear that. What a wonderful photographer!

I personally do not find the sky to be an overwhelming distraction, but I suggest you do a crop and compare to the uncropped version. I feel your crop would remove more of the vehicle on the right which might be more desirable than getting rid of the sky. One crop and you can accomplish both. If you are using LR this can be done non-destructively in only moments.

Thanks for your suggestions, Dave! I’ll give it a try.

To me that little bit ov sky is NOT distracting at all. The rusting Jeep truck pulls me right to it, then I see the rest of the scene. I'd leave as is. Good luck, Cheers.

Thank you so much, compilot!

I would crop out the sky and the rear end of the tow truck (?) on the right, but that’s just personal preference.

Thanks, Cdayton! Personal preference is really what it ultimately comes down to isn’t it?!

No. The eye goes directly to the old Jeep pickup, so the blue is unobtrusive.

Thank you very much. John! (By the way - the camera club is going great!)

If it was my image I would crop it without the sky. Another thing I would do is to desaturate the intense red of the truck, easily done with Photoshop or other software using Selective Color and choosing red. A b&w conversion properly done would be nice also.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks for your thoughts, William. Always welcomed! By the way I truly loved your Shark Valley series.

The very small section of the sky is not a distraction at all.
In fact, it is a very interesting pic as is.
I do Love the patina of the now-retired jeep.
IMHO I would crop much tighter removing the broad expanse of both the plain side of the building (above) and the wrecker to the right.
Maybe my take would just be different and not any better . . .

Jimmy thanks for your comments and suggestions. And of course as always, the smile!

It is distracting. The eye goes to a light area. Cropping the photo will not hurt the photo and will improve it.

Thank you, Sue. I’ll give that a try.
