Do you have LR set up to back up the catalogue automatically? I believe that is the default setting.
If so, you just need to find where you have been backing up to. The backups are a file that ends with "ircat.zip" do a system wide search for that and see if you can find backups, then restore from there.

check out the tokina 100mm. Far le$$ than the Nikon lens, and I've had good luck with it on a crop sensor D7000.

I bought 3 used Elinchrom BX 500 Ri monolights along with some umbrellas (shoot through and reflectors) and softboxes. I bought a cheap backdrop and holder and I have a light meter that does flash. I have been playing with it for a week now and took the best photos of my sons EVER yesterday for their mom for Mothers day. I have been watching Youtube videos and started looking at the Strobist website. Other than Practice, Practice and more Practice. What "Secrets" do you have on the use of studio lights?, So far I have been mostly using the 70 to 200 and 24-70. I saw a response to a question about the Nikon 200-500 lens that it was being used in the Studio. i NEVER would have though to do that but now might try it with the 150-600. I'm sure I will get some great ideas on how to get started with studio Strobes from this group. Thank you for your comments.

Look for online instructions in places like fstoppers.com, or follow this facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/644161752402622/?fref=nf
it has a lot of notes on lighting set ups that I use a jumping off points.

I can't say enough good things about the Tokina 11-16 2.8. I just sold mine because I moved to the FX format, but the Tokina was a great lens for me.

Hi Everyone ,
Was out and about over the weekend with my Nikon 300s / 18 -135
Was very hot and vry sunny day ..

The shots I took during the afternoon , look to me not quite right colors .
Look a bit flat and unusual skin tones ..
Tried to adjust WB and others in raw Prog .. but this is the best I can get ..

Its the first time this has happened as the usual colors are brilliant .
Was very hot and sunny .. Could perhaps the sensor got hot and caused the deviation ?

Any Clues ?

Cheers

A few things I'm thinking.
1) Looks like the subjects are under a 10' pop-up tent. With the thin fabric being green it is acting as a green filter. Look at the photo I have attached where subject was under a red pop-up tent.
2) Light looks a bit flat, and filtered through the tent roof, so it's not going to have a lot of snap and contrast.

Try processing in LR or PS to get a bit more contrast to the light and adjust the color cast.

just updating this listing. Another UHH member purchased the lens, but it didn't work well on an Olympus Mirrorless OM D10, with adapter. so back for sale.

Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon F SOLD

Bought this for my D7000, used it a few times and now have upgraded to full frame. So got to clean house. I got this second hand off another photo site. Really nice shape, comes with a B+W filter that has been on it since day one. Comes with box, lens caps, filter, hood. See sample photos below, all made on my first test of the lens, using available (bad) light!

Tim

....also just added some photos of the lens.

I swear i had my mind set on picking up the nikon dslr 7500 then i stopped at Best Buy and the guy suggested the d750. Its a huge cost difference...what does everyone else think?

Which ever camera you decide upon, consider another camera store. Most of what i'm seeing right now the D750 is $150 more than the D7500 ($1150 compared to $1300). Lenses will be a big difference in cost going from DX to FX, so take an inventory of what you have, what you'll need with either format and let that help you in your decision.

Even the newer Nikon 50 G series have been rumored to soon be completely updated. At which point they'll probably be bigger, heaver, with more glass inside to improve sharpness, coma, etc.

I went from a D7000 to a D750 and could not be happier.

I knew it would mean more lens purchases as I had just one FX lens at the time. But to me it made sense as I intend to keep in the full frame Nikon world. And jumping into the D750 was very easy. Some buttons and functions are moved, but overall a very familiar feel and great high ISO performance.

Right now used, low-click D750s are cheaper than D500s

Congratulations !

Now a question for all who are Getty contributors; A quick look at the web site and it appears that the only way to interact with Getty as a contributor is through a phone app, Getty Contributor. So how do folks deal with getting images from your computer to your phone, and once accepted, do they offer a computer option for uploading the large files?
