Ran in to this little Black Capped Chickadee who was more than willing to pose for me. This little guy actually waited until I went into the house and got my D7000 and Nikon 300mm F4 and returned to the back yard.
Then again, the sunflower seeds were nearby so that might have hade something to do with it.
Enjoy
Welcome! I don't drop in everyday but I do show up from time to time. There's always some good info to be found here.
Enjoy.
Thanks for sharing the F4 pics. I enjoyed watching these things take off from DaNang back in '68 & '69.
I've got the Nikon 1.7 (very good) and the Kenko 300 Pro 1.4 which is equal to Nikon but much less expensive. My 1.4 stays on my Nikon300mm F4 all the time. I use the 1.7 on my Nikon70-200 F2.8 from time to time.
These are the only two Nikon lenses I own that will accept a teleconvertor.
Check here ( http://www.nikonusa.com/en_INC/IMG/Assets/Common-Assets/Images/Teleconverter-Compatibility/EN_Comp_chart.html) to see if your lenswill accept a teleconvertor.
Good Luck
This is the one I use. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/655319-REG/Induro_471_524_CM24_Carbon_8X_CM_Series.html
It's extremely light, only 1/2 a turn to release/lock the legs, very strong. I use a Manfrotto head that flips forward and back only. A great combo. I use it for shooting birds with a 300mm lens.
One more point: unlike aluminum, the carbon fiber doesn't feel or transmit cold/heat to your hands. It's always comfortable.
No longer for sale.
I've got a Nikon 70-210 4-5.6 AF zoom for sale. It's one the older push/pull versions. (The barrel slides forward and back to zoom).
Condition is 9.5 / 10. It looks like it just came out of the box. It's not a "10" as there is minimal (very minimal) dust inside. Has no effect on images. Lens is clean and images are sharp.
Lens comes with a lens cap, A1 filter, rear cap and is guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with this lens, return it in same condition within 7 days and I'll return your purchase price.
This lens does not have a focus motor, so it won't AF on d40 and the like. I've used it on my d200 and d7000.
Selling price is $85.00 + shipping.
I take Paypal, checks and Credit Cards.
I've sold through UH in the past.
Contact me with any questions.

I've got that lens (Nikkor AF=-S 300mm F4D) and it works well with a Nikon TC-17EII 1.7x converter. It may hunt in shadows from time to time but normal sunlight will allow it to work just fine.
Here is Nikon's TC compatibility chart: http://www.nikonsupport.eu/europe/Manuals/DrdIaQvRZv/TC_converter_compatibility-EN_01.pdf
It shows that the 2.0 TC should fit but may have difficulty autofocusing.
Save some money and look at the unknown Pelican PCS
(http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/443980-REG/Pelican_PCS247B_PCS_247_RSV_Wheeled_Upright.html)
It built like a tank. I've used mine constantly for the last 3 years and it still looks like new. Fits in airplane overheads - no gate checking. Looks like luggage - doesn't scream "cameras".
Certainly worth a look.

My error. I apologize. I was replying to the prior poster who asked for a US conversion in $$. I hit "Euros" rather than "Pounds Sterling".
Sorry.
The correct link is http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/?from=GBP&to=USD&amount=320 which results in $501.45 USD today.
Some days it just doesn't pay to help.

I use the Pleine Aire frames. They come individually boxed. That's a good deal.
Item has been sold.
I've recently ungraded to carbon fiber so I'm selling my trusty Manfrotto 3001PRO tripod.
It's in great condition, no dings, very minor scratches. All leg flippers work well.
I've even got Manfrotto "leg warmers" on it.
I'm looking for $75.00 + shipping.
If you're interested, let me know.
I've got 100% on EBAY under "twocatsphotos".
