Val....just do what ya do. Who cares what armchair quarterbacks think? As we have discussed privately, Like u, I don't post up my work to get ooo's and ahhhh's. I post up occasional samples so when I do critiques, people know where my skill level is and can take that into consideration when deciding whether or not to heed my opinions and suggestions. Sometimes I even post up a sample shot of my work in a critique if I think it helps demonstrate some advice I gave in the post.

Nobody can be a harsher critic than me of my work. If u can find 19 things wrong with one of my shots, trust me, I can find 20. However I often publish pix with obvious faux pas on purpose to demonstrate how any rule can occasionally be bent for the purpose of art. Nothing is absolute. But as long as generally accepted quality is adhered to, as it is in your work, then do your thang!

Lastly, stop cropping yer pix square !! Ugh!!!

Right On, Like I have been saying, the only one you have to please is yourself, unless you are doing this for a paycheck.

Do not worry about what anyone thinks or says, just keep showing your good work and let those of us who will enjoy it, and disregard those who do not enjoy it. I have only had what I consider fair critiques of what I have posted and I try to critique without hurting feelings. Love your work.

Hello Everyone! I Have Been Reading The Previous Introductions & Have Noticed Surprisingly How Many Bobs Are Here? Typically I Also Go By "Bob", But Will Gladly Go By Robert In Here! I Have Currently Upgraded From My Nikon D90 to a D7000, And Love It. I Also Upgraded My Lens To An 18-200 Nikkor f/2.8. My Home Town is Salem Oregon And In My State The Photo Subjects Can Be Endless. I Would Like to Learn From All Of You, How to Capture Great Shots Rather Than "Decent". I Look Forward To Your Input And Critique, And Thank You For Having Me!!!

P.S I Believe These Are My Favorite Three?...Tear Em Up!!!
Hello Everyone! I Have Been Reading The Previous I... (show quote)

I like the country town best. I like the country road in the center second best, BUT They are all three nice. One nice thing about this forum is we can all learn from everyone else. And I am learning a lot, some of it is even being taught to me by BOB!
My brother is Bob, and when we are somewhere where his name is used he gives people a bad time for spelling his name backward!

I like the girls smile, but the prize goes to the child in the back in the blue shirt. That is a million dollar expression on his face. I love it.
Welcome to the forum, I have picked up so much information from members that it is hard to believe. It is a better than great place to learn.

Mother Nature had a nice set of paints! I enjoy all nature shots. Yours are very nice. I like the road in the woods best. Keep up the good work.

What would you do to this one. Delete it, crop it. I've looked it trying to decide. It lacks a focal point, but I still kind of like it. It was taken this summer in American Basin in SW Co. There were millions of flowers. Show me what you would do with it.

Put a rabbit or a fox in the lower right hand corner running into the photo.

If your only worry is there are wrinkles in the background, you have it made! I enjoyed the photos and was admiring your work so much I did not notice wrinkles. I had to go back three times to find them. Know what, they are not seen by the average person and you should not draw attention to any flaws you think you have in your work. If we do not see it, so much the better.
I am a Minnesota native. I was born in a small berg called Deer River, and grew up (until age 13, around Hibbing and Northome. In northern MN. I do not think I could survive a winter there now. Now I am a Californian. Been here since 1955.

one quick way is just to add a few "lens flare" splotches, to simulate reflection. Not really too dynamic of a change, but it sorta looks shiney ( er) ....(?) Good question , kiddo.

That is really good. Thanks for the tip.
