I think the giraffe is a beautiful and graceful animal to watch. But because of their sheer size, you miss the face. I like it. Here are a couple in Zimbabwe. The first picture is a female. The other shots are a male. All shots were taken with a Canon 70D and Tamrom 14-400mm.

Spectacular rainbow! Did you try to "dehaze"?
This is what I love about the Hog! I learn so much from others! I've never tried dehazing but I did on your recommendation and got this. Thanks Fotoartist for that!!
Sorry but no ideas from me. I am not disabled but I would be there to help and learn. I think it's a great thing to do.

That doesn't mean you don't have any ideas. Doesn't it?
Segovia to the North is very nice. High speed train makes it a very easy day trip. The castle where Columbus asked Queen Isabella for money to fund his trip is there.
Toledo to the South is also nice. A very nice cathedral there and they make a lot of swords and knives there. They also do a lot of damascene (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damascening) making there. In some shops, you can find a person actually doing it.
What a great idea! If I lived in NY, I would join you
A few months ago, I asked for advice on how to shoot Victoria Falls and stay dry (
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-529092-1.html). Thank you to all who gave me great advice. I was able to capture some shots when we started but as we went along, things just kept getting wetter and wetter. We were soaked and I chose to keep the camera covered. But I did get a couple of shots. Pictures from the helicopter give an idea of the size of the falls and the amount of water going over the edge.
You never fail to disappoint Graham! Thanks and cheers!

I have no idea where this cat lived. We did see it drag a piece of animal skin into a tree one night. The guide said it must have found something some hyenas left. Amazing to see it climb the tree so effortlessly.

Fun shots, well done! Looks like you had to be very patient to see the whole drama unfold. Kind of unusual to see him/her in such open space isn’t it? I have usually seen them in more forested areas where they can drag the carcass into a safe tree. Did you discover where he/she lived? Thanks for sharing...
Thank you! Even a rookie likes positive feedback!

Spectacular images! As close as you would want to get.
Going on an African safari provides many photo ops that even an amateur like me cannot overlook. Here is a leopard we came across. I wish it would have looked at me while sitting up on the termite hill but it was pretty focused on waiting for the warthog to come out. While we missed the kill (some might think that was a good thing), we were able to catch the actual dining.

Tamron does not recommend that the console be used with the lens being discussed.
The 4th lens on the list provided is the 18-400 which is the lens I have and the console that I used. It worked great!
I went to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana in June, 2018 (Happy New Year!). I only took my 70D and my Tamron 18-400. It was great! I was able to capture everything I wanted. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy the trip!
My Velo remote trigger does not work with my Canon 70D. I purchased another one and still does not work. Then I noticed that when I insert the plug, it does not fit snuggly like it used to. It wobbles a bit when inserted into the camera. (It is the sub mini connector, not the 3-pin connector.) Now I'm thinking the problem is with this receptacle in the camera. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think I need to send it to Canon for repair or could a local repair shop handle this? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
