If I leave the computer alone and the mouse alone, the cursor jumps around, without me.
Just now as I write the screen jumps by itself bigger and smaller, just as I write this now.
Its as if someone else is doing remote controll.

This cicada came to me from outside. I was able to focus stack 65 images. Nikon Z9, Nikkor MC105 f/2.8 with Novaflex bellows. Diffused lighting from Stella Pro lights. Helicon and PS.

Scary looking ! Fine technique !

It is a reminder to make sure the store of firewood is in
and that the house is ready for cooler weather.

Beautiful, what a fall reminder !

Something is happening to my Mac Book Pro, mid 2014 on Catalina OS.
My cursor seems to act on its own, jerking around and towards the left of the screen and suddenly the screen image is blown up 10x, too big to navigate.
I did my Mac utilities and did 3x the CCleaner (CC keeps that away for about 10 minutes, but the nuissance comes back.
Any ideas whats going on ?

Confident in her look and her sword fighting. Justifiably so too in my humble opinion.
A composite of course, from two pirate festivals - the boat in 2016 and the pirate in 2022. The rest of the background is painted with a bought (Nucly) cloud brush. As always, if you feel inclined, your critique is appreciated.

Beautiful Pirates are so disarming !

Just to introduce myself, I'm a retired software engineer who got into photography just before I retired. I figured that I needed a hobby that would get me out of the house at least once a week. I've been doing weekly photos for nearly 10 years now, and I've had a different photography theme every year. Having a theme gives me a topic to focus on (no pun intended), and lets me learn new things.

I'm located near Seattle, WA, USA.

Welcome, from a retired pro photographer in NYC.

My Canon Pixma9000 has given up the ghost after about 12(?) years (got it the day before CompUSA closed its doors).
Won't recognize an ink cartridge and it's out of service; doesn't recognize the empty cartridge nor any of several new ones.

So, I want a new printer that will do a nice job on images that I have taken. Prefer wireless, and bottled ink rather than cartridge.
Appreciate suggestions.

Thanks

I switched from an Epson R3000 13'x19" printer to an Epson ET8550 (also 13x19"). Have it now for 5 months with no issues and easy printing, its also wireless but I like wired, it sits next the my computer.

Just had a thought (ouch that hurt) I wonder whether our law enforcement agencies will have to revert to film photography for forensic purposes? With AI being able to create almost anything and smarty pants computer techs being able to change even the basic exif data of a photo how will the courts be able to accept photo evidence as true? A film negative/positive though cannot be changed without obvious damage and if the date can be embedded no-one can dispute its originality!

Excellent Point !
I had not considered that.
