I just read that Nikon has released a open standard and that is why Tamron is going to make Z lenses and I suppose that Sigma will also. I was really surprised that Canon would take this extreme measure because of the very limited market now. Canon RF lenses are overly expensive. I have some good EF glass, but since the RF glass is so expensive, I have held off. I do not want to support a company that is keeping the prices so high.

They are overly expensive but the best out there.

Yes I did. Like I stated. No tutorials. At least I haven't found any.

I have a question about "depth Of Field" on my CANON HF G60 video camcorder. I need a tutorial on this subject and can't find one anywhere. I just purchased the camcorder.

I also have a CANON R6 and have no problem with BOKEH on this camera.

Cost! The third party batteries work just as well as the Canon battery that came with the camera.

I have third party batteries for my Canon Vixia that I have had and used for the past five years and they still hold a full charge, I guess it depends on who you buy yhe batteries from.

I know this is mainly a photo forum. I do both video and photography. I am trying to decide which of the following two cameras would be best. The Canon Vixia GF-50 or the Canon GF 60. I now use the Canon Vixia GF-40. Any help appreciated.

I have a question that has me baffled. When I format my SD or CF Express cards in either my R5 or R6, it does not remove all the images. On the Format screen, it tells me the card is reformatted but when I look a the image screen, some images are still visible. When I remove the card and place it in a card reader and view it on my laptop, some, not all, of the images are still there. It is annoying to reformat the card for a day's shooting and then find some images from previous shoots still present. Is there something I am not doing? I understand the formatting process does not "erase" the images, but simply allows them to be overwritten, but in the past the images do not remain visible.

The formatting process does erase the pics. Sometimes images can be restored with certain software. Make sure you are formatting both cards. If you are and the pics are still there something is wrong with the camera or the cards. I have an R6.

You should be paid for your work. If you don't ask they will continue to "use" you for future shoots. Just go to whoever is in charge and "tell" them you have to be paid for your work. Hospitals have a budget for this. I am not a nurse but I shot a video for the burn victims unit and also a video on breast feeding for the same hospital.

The batteries I buy for my video camera last about 2 hours shooting at the highest resolution. If I shoot 4K the battery is good for about an hour.

Whenever I buy new cameras and lens I sell the older ones back to the company I bought them from. They always gave me a fair price. B&H.
