To adjust the price according to a clients appeared wealth,
and,

"The difference of pricing and quality (no packages here, only the best) was sometimes 10 folds."

Makes you a scam artist.

I would NEVER deliver a products quality based on a clients assumed wealth. And I highly doubt anyone else here would be such a poor business person. Or i would hope not, i am shocked at this post.

I have a working copy of the 80-200mm. Sometimes the manuel auto piece gets cracked and you must kind of jimmie it back and forth to make it work. Not sure if you have played with it much. I sent you a PM

I have not tried that, i will check it out.
Thanks.
PM sent.

I have for sale 2 lenses in the same shape. For parts or repair. Both work with manual focus but not auto focus.

1- Nikkor AF 300mm 4.0 ed
1- Nikkor AF 80-200mm 2.8 ed

Both lenses where used professionally at a local newspaper. Both are in fair shape, but show there use.
I have used each with manual focus and they work but will not auto focus. Both have a small amount of front glass surface scratch but from my testing did not affect images. Do not have front or rear caps for either.
They are rough but worth fixing or using the parts to repair others.
I do not know what they are worth so i am going to price them at what i found on ebay.
$100.00 each obo + shipping
Will not ship overseas.
Or willing to trade for gear i can use with a D810 or D7200. Or whatever ya got.
If my asking price is out of line let me know ( kindly)
I don't have the $ to have them fixed & have no use for them. Was hoping to find someone in need of them. More pics available upon asking.
Thank you &
Stay safe.

I use a D850 / D500 combination. When I can fill the frame, it's the D850. When I can't, it's the D500. BTW, the D500 has a 7% higher pixel density than the D850, so the D500 will put more pixels on your subject than the D850 is in DX mode.

There was a presentation that Nikon Rumors summarized and Nikon is supposed to announce 2 new dslrs for 2021, but it did not say whether or not one of them would be DX. Nikon is also releasing several new F-mounts lenses in 2021 as well.

If I were starting from scratch, the way to go right now is the Canon R5, which has the best AF system of any of the major camera brands. Canon also has an under $1000 600mm f/11 and 800mm f/11 lenses that get excellent reviews for wildlife / birding. I know, I know, everyone wants fast glass, but buy these to start with and buy faster long glass as money allows.

Talking with a guy who works at Mikes Camera in Colo. Springs, he claims the 2 new dslr's are just basically updates. One a d550 and the other a d880.
But it is just talk..... You know rumors.

Cannibus oil.

To expand on that a little.
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, it is one of the many Cannabinoids found in the cannibus plant (marajauna plant).
It is one that you can't get high on (that part of the plant is THC).
It is extracted and separated, commonly found in oil form but can also be found in pill form.
It is the main thing found in "Charletes Web" the famous oil named for a young girl it was used on to treat her for her seizures.
It is suppose to be helpful for many types of health issues.
I did not believe in its many uses, but after my experiances with it, well i just know it helps me.
I know it does not help everyone with seizures but it does with many.

I have been a little overwhelmed with all the kind and touching responses to my post here. Thank you all.

On the back of one of Jim's artificial legs was "Why Not?" And the other one was "WWJD". And thats how he lived life.

Thanks again and bless you all.

I am very happy with it.
I don't understand when people have said they wont buy tamron, they have really upped there game the last few years, esp. with there SP line.
Enjoy your new lens.

I can only offer my heartfelt sympathy and condolences on the death of your beloved dog. Any of us who have had pets that have soon become true family members will have a thought of what you are feeling right now. Animals such as you had are truly a gift from God to help us, brighten our days, give us unconditional love even when we may not deserve it. Pets are truly among the greatest of animals. May Jim Rest In Peace and may you and he be reunited later on when you are healthy and so is he. I wish you well along with many prayers. May you continue successfully on life's journey.

50 years ago this month i got my 1st camera, don't remember what it was just that i loved using it, 2 years later my father bought me a plastic sears and robuck dark room set up and an Argus c3 (i think) (please save the argus jokes,,, i was 12. And it was cool)i was hooked. 2 years after that I had my first seizure, life then got crazy, photography was put away for awhile. Over the years i got back into photography, although not easy dealing with anywhere from 1 to 30 seizures a day. I can not count how many cameras and lenses i damaged or broke over the years.
My wife and i have a deal, if i start into a seizure, the camera is saved FIRST, I have struggled through the years trying to enjoy my hobby and just get through the days falling, breaking things, cancelling a day trip or 2.
Suffering from daily seizures puts a damper on life itself let alone trying to enjoy any hobby or past time.
Things have now changed. A few years ago i discovered CBD's (ok i did not discover them) my head Dr. suggested trying them, i did and my seizures went from 1-30 a day to 1-5 a day. Sometimes i will go a day or 2 without any. Great huh? However, 6 months ago we had a chance to get a certified service dog, she is awesome protects me unlike any other dog i have had....But...she can detect my seizures before i even know one is coming, by at least 30 seconds. Last week in the mountains of Colorado she alerts to an oncoming seizure, i had time to put my camera down and sit down before it kicked in.
She has made it possible to completely enjoy without concern my hobby again. Not to mention the quality of life she has brought back.
I once dropped a D3 25 ft onto the lower deck at Garden of the gods, it survived!!! But the lens did not. So hopefully no more damaged cameras no more purchasing the same lens more than one time.
I never would have stuck with trying to enjoy this hobby had it not been for Jim, my good friend from grade school, he was born with no legs, he never backed off from anything, not even swimming. Jim was with me last week in the mountains he had been with me through the toughest times of my life he gave me the drive and reasons to live life through my disability. Jim passed away during the super bowl, but he lives in my heart and every image i capture.
RIP my friend.
Point of my post, not one, i just needed to write something down.

Cool pic. I love Finches.
Yes Finches will eat cracked corn, although only the much smaller pieces.
They do not have enough power to actually break it with there beaks.
Like most birds they store the smaller pieces of cracked corn in their crop (or craw) where the digestion process begins. And later after they have eaten they regurgitate the half digested corn to feed their young or just continue the digestion process for themselves.
Love your pic.

BTW, hows things going in Wichata? I am from Chanute its about 100 miles to your east, have not been back to Kansas in a couple years, hope to make it back this spring, living in Pueblo Co. now. My sister tells me her part of the state has really not been affected to much by the covid problem, not here, one of our local hospitals rented out an entire motel to house the covid infected.
Anyway, stay safe.
