I can't imagine I will have anything especially enlightening to say but it seemed right and proper to offer some feedback. That was because when I first sought advice and guidance on a) which camera to go for and b) where to buy it from this forum was invaluable.

The camera arrived on July 11th. I spent the rest of the day reading bits and pieces of the User Manual (500+ pages) and watching YouTube videos on how to become acquainted with the D750. That left me feeling completely overwhelmed! The challenge was that it was impossible to watch a video and see what they were referring to on the camera all at the same time.

But slowly over the next few days I started to understand all the different permutations of the buttons and dials. Trust me there are hundreds of different settings; the number of lines of software code that sit 'underneath the hood' must be in the tens of thousands!

I came across an article on the PhotographyLife website that worked for me. In the sense that I could read it at my own pace with the camera in front of me. This is the link to that article: https://photographylife.com/recommended-nikon-d750-settings

Then in the last week I started to take some photographs and was blown away by the quality of the camera lens. Indeed, not since I owned an old-fashioned Pentax too many years ago, have my eyes been re-opened in the way that this D750 is opening my eyes.

It's going to be weeks before I am completely familiar with all the options and how to quickly set the camera up for a particular shot but it will come.

It may be sensible to join a local camera club.

So everybody, thank you, and watch this space!

Wow great shots. I last saw this area in 1959 and you would not have seen hardly any of these buildings.
