Hey Jerry,
I've took the D850 course from John and found it worth it. Are you enjoying the Z8 one?
thanks
Mike

I waited close to an hour for this bird to leave that perch. However, we had a nice long talk before he decided to leave. No I did not replace the sky. However, I did darken it down to bring out more mood.

Beautiful set!
I wonder what caused all the wing feathers to fluff up like that?
The bird was chasing off another heron at the time of the photo.

LOL good one. It will on Tuesdays. I'm waiting for the next recall.
All 3 images were shot within 3 days of receiving my new Z8. I used the Tamron 70-300mm lens with it.
I picked up a Z8 last week and I'm amazed at what an upgrade it is over the Z7II. That being said, I LOVE my Z7ii. I never thought about upgrading it until recently. In my opinion, the Z8 is a massive upgrade over the Z7ii. I still have much to learn, however since I shoot around water a lot, the sensor shield is big to me. It never occurred to me that I would ever shoot beyond 1/8000 of a second. For BIF, I'm shooting at 1/16000 and getting amazing results in only a few days. Setting up all the function buttons will take time and learn. If I was shooting strictly landscapes and not much else, I'd stay with the Z7ii, however since I enjoy a variety of subjects, the Z8 has been a more than pleasant surprise at how much it's made me want to pick up a camera again.
