Thirty years in retail, seen as much and more. Including being embarrassed by family members "RUDE" behavior when shopping with same.

The three little ones that we had found in one of my Wife's flower pots, paid us a visit last night. Quality is not that good as I had to grab and shoot through a partially open window. Since they have visited the last two nights I'll try to be better prepared if they show tonight. Thanks for looking, TJB.

Hello all!
I have been reading Ugly Hedgehog for a few weeks and just made the deep dive to register and start actively participating. I am an avid amateur photographer and love to shoot action (sports - I have 3 kids playing tennis, hockey and soccer) and street scenes. I just made a huge move, leaving behind my NIKON system for a Sony Alpha a7111. Yep, a little scared about it, but looking forward not back. As I'm investing in new lenses, I also would like to purchase a new tripod...and would love your recommendations.. I like to be mobile when I shoot and realize a monopod could be really useful, but definitely want a tripod in my arsenal. Willing to invest the $$$ for something that will be with me for years. Any input much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You don't say where you are located, however if you have a trusted brick and mortar camera store I'd suggest you start there. Take your camera and lens combo in and see what works for you. In lieu of that, try calling up where you got your Sony from and see if an associate can give you some options. Good luck.

This mornings check on our flower pot rabbits found two have apparently gone off on their own. Just one perturbed looking little guy left.

I need a spare memory card for my Sony a7iii and wanted one large enough for video. Currently, I have a 32 GB Lexar SD II U3 150MB/s. I was considering another Lexar card, but twice the size. EVERY review on EVERY card has a reviewer that says something like, "Don't buy this card" or "It's a fake" or " the card failed in the middle of a shoot". etc. Also, hardly any of them show the back of the card, except for the Transcend card (TS64GSD2U3). Both cards are on the Sony recommended list. What say you?

Is it a card sold by Amazon or one of their "Partners", or one of the "not sold or supplied by Amazon", listed sellers? That could be their issue with this particular card. Sometimes looking for the best price can lead you to not the best item. In general if there are sufficient number of reviews yes. With a memory card if there are not many dozens or hundreds of reviews, I'd stay away from that seller or item.

A few more pictures of the young rabbits in my wife's flower pot in our back yard. One of the little guys choose to venture out following mother rabbit last evening, got a couple of shots of him looking a little lost after mom took off, and where I found him hunkered down this morning. All is good as I figured a way for him to rejoin his siblings in their makeshift burrow.

Looking a little scared

Does it confuse you, too? ... we now have SD, SDXC, SDHC micro-SDHC, UHS-1, UHS-2, XQD, CF, CFAST 2.0 ... my, oh, my!

When will it ever stop? ... Now, there's a dizzying array of such cards, aren't there? Which one should I use? Which is right for my camera? ... I'm lost!!! ... Is there someone out there who can put a sensible face to all this?

Kind of leaves ones head spinning doesn't it. I share your wonderment, more so now. My wife recently needed a camcorder for work and I got schooled on why some cards are better for video and a unnecessary expense for photography and yes my head is still spinning.

You’ll have a good time watching them grow. If you get to do that share it with us.

Will try to, not sure how long they will choose to be cooperative subjects. You know kids can be once they're off on their own.

Following up on yesterdays post. Went out to check on our young rabbits this morning. It's hard to tell for sure but someone may be missing in todays photos, as I could only confirm 3 little ones today compared to a definite 4 yesterday. Conditions were a little difficult, high humidity and fog contributed to the lens fogging over somewhat between shots. All photos have been cropped some and tried enhancing the clarity of the first, using the software that came with my Laptop. Shot with a Nikon Coolpix P510. Thanks for looking.

Not likely, they have a guardian Great Pyrenees, who does not like cats.
