Thanks! I took one with it laying there flat in the water but liked it better in the up position.
Converted this one to B&W as I likes the effect.
Took one of these from our sons apartment building and the others from down by the harbor.
This was my first visit to Beach Bottom Falls in Rocky Bottom, SC. The trail had recently been recut with bridges and viewing platform. The old trail, now overgrown, went to the bottom and opposite side of the falls. Along the way are smaller falls. These are are few of the images taken along the 1 mile hike to the platform.
This one is in Long Creek, SC. The owner is still renovating and not yet open to the general public. He lets some of our photo club in periodically. It will open after r3novations are completed. I also believe it could be used as an overnight stay eventually.
Yes, on this one I wanted to maintain the turbulent nature of the scene.
This old mill is currently being renovated. Stopped by to see the progress. As the structure is still unfinished, I included mostly the huge steel wheel that is part of the original.
Stopped by the Chauga River for the 20-25 min hike to the narrows portion where the water flows through a narrow chute. After heavy rains this area is less accessible. Good foliage as a bonus!
The next edit will be similar to this one. Some of the actual water color being included in the B&W.
As I said, I did many edits, mostly in color, so I wanted to do something different and thought this one would look good in B&W. The waters are beautiful as you stated. The emerald-like blue color of the water is there even on fully cloudy days, due to the composition of the glacial sediment. My next edit will use this one but I will let some of the natural water color come through.
Yes, didn’t use any sketch-type filter on it but did use a couple of contrast and detail filters that gave it that effect. Thanks!
This is one of my favorite shots from our trip to the Canadian Rockies a few years ago. I got up early to walk the trail around the lake. Found this lakeside canoe along the way. It has been edited several ways. This time in B&W.
