Very sad it is!

Ya, I know. We just don't know what to do for them.

I spent a number of days on this "Free Sunday" taking photos of people without homes. Perhaps, not glamorous or pretty...but real in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Validation is always a win...now that you've won, it makes winning all the much better. Congratulations on your photo's status. It looks marvelous!

you have it reversed.
the issue is f lenses on a d body.
the "waste" is a full frame lens not being fully utilized ..... wasted money according to the salesman (same vendor retailer as where purchased)

One may not be using the entire lens to one's advantage, however, you'd be using the sweet spot of the FX lens which is a plus.

'As a "teachers" you should either learn to spell or learn proper grammar. As a Science teachers, you should be able to use the internet to solve your problem. Best of luck.'

Anyone can do research through the internet. The reason for posting questions such as Bill's is to cut through the red tape and get to the chase by having your friends and fellow Hoggers reply with their best practices and experiences. Telling a fellow Hogger to essentialy go pound sand and do the research, themselves is not in the spirit of this platform. Arguments and discussions are one thing. What this Hogger did is egregious and insulting.

For a large number of prints, Bay Photo is a good choice. You might also check to see if the school has a corporate Costco Membership. I know it is a hassle to make proposals and then to get approvals from large school entities -assuming you are at a large school- but once you set it all up, you won't have to pay "out-of-pocket" for business expenses.

Have a great day!

I have been taking photos of my 6 grandkids for over 20 years, however, the pictures I take with my Nikon SB-800 are terribly under or over exposed. In all honesty, I don't take many flash photos with this equipment. So, my question is this, what are the best overall camera settings to get good quality flash photos with my D7100 and SB-800? I would really like to take better flash photos. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks! Frank

One of the things I find with Topaz De Noise is that I need to spend some time deciding which option gives the best results (for me). This is most likely due to a lack of use of it with consistent examples.

I had a go with the image and found using Topaz Denoise, 'Clear' option, 'Med' noise removal, and 'High' sharpen but neither of it post-processing options gave this result. Some localized contrast enhancement in PS was given to the head.

This is the best one of the bunch. It looks marvelous!

More importantly: never spend money on photography 'training' until you've exhausted all the freely available training on youtube and elsewhere. There's more free training available than you can ever watch in the rest of your lifetime. Don't pay money for what is available free via advising support of the author.

ABSOLUTELY...However, I did like Tony and Chelsea's courses. But, ya...I totally agree with Mr. Canon......(mic drop)

I was browsing cameras on eBay just now, and it's amazing what you can find. If I was younger, I might be tempted to start collecting cameras - for display. There are very cheap "For Parts" cameras available if all you want is a display. If you want odd-looking, unfamiliar brands, you can get them almost for free. I don't need any more old film cameras, working or not, but I might look at what Nikkor lenses are available. There's KEH and MPB, too.

One thing I thought was odd, and this applies to all products on eBay. Why do people display items that need a good cleaning? Spend a couple of minutes with a rag and a brush, and the item would look much better. When I take pictures for eBay, I make sure what I'm selling looks like new.

I don't want an "increased" value on goodies like that. Keep 'em filthy and dirt cheap (pun intended ) so I can save even more!

I do small product advertising and architecture for selective clients. Many times a client has contacted me, and requested a previous image or an adjustment. My image files are quite large, and a reliable storage system was a must. I use a Raid 5 system. in a server connected to my computer, there are five, five terabyte hard drives. All with the same information. If one should fail, I replace it. And all the same, information is automatically added to the new drive. I have found this to be very reliable.

Good on you! I wish I had that kind of system. I have several external drives and online redundant storage.

There is a risk with any kind of storage! Personally, I don't see a thumb drive as being a much higher risk as anything else. The secret is to have multiple backups and at least to me, using thumb drives as one of those multiple backups is a perfectly viable option. I wouldn't put all my proverbial eggs in one basket or backup data in any one type of storage or only in one place. I have personally never lost anything I've put on a thumb drive, but have lost multiple, mechanical hard drives over my years of computing.

Agreed! Problem is...that is where the originals are...and nowhere else. To each their own, I guess. He hasn't had an issue yet, but I am reluctant to handle any USBs of his, lol.

Nope...I am serious. Zero backup scheme and horrible original placeholder. Oh, well. We all have our faults. Shoots great stuff, though.
