I appreciate your helpful insights. If I was to get a better lens, any suggestions? I' don't have a lot of extra cash so expensive lenses are out of the question.
Is it okay to delete pics on the camera itself, or wait until pics are downloaded to the computer and let the computer erase the pictures?
I have a Nikon d70 and an 18-55mm lens. I have set my camera on macro. The first picture is with auto focus. I tried manual focus on the second picture, but still have some blurriness. Is there something else I can do? Thank you.
Beautiful! The awesomeness of God comes through in nature and weather. :)
Please send pictures when you can! I can't imagine going out in a blizzard to take photos, but they are good. Be safe and show off your world.
Both are very nice. I especially like the duck with the reflection. Thanks for sharing.
This past week I have been exploring the area and had fun taking pics at the same time. Comments welcome so I can learn.
My amaryllis is growing! I had to move it upstairs where it is warmer.

How much are you asking for the Tamron? I didn't see the price on that one.
Welcome Carol! You sound like a fun person to get to know. Hope to see you around. Enjoyed your pictures.
Hi Jan, welcome! I grew up in Kenmore. I've been to Colorado and its a beautiful state. I'm in South Carolina now. Definitely have remained a Seahawk fan. Look forward to seeing some pics from you.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll keep trying!
I'm still trying to understand how aperture works and when to use a large aperture. This evening, I pulled over to get a pic of the sunset. It was at dusk, so there was some light. The clouds made the sky darker except for an area that was lit by the setting sun where there was no clouds. If I wanted to bring the clouds out more, would I use a larger aperture? Just trying to check if I'm getting the concept.
