I guess I'm pretty dumb. Fox News is garbage. They were consistently wrong in the last two elections. There news (if you can call it that) is always tilted right. I listen to many news sources to get what's happening, but never Fox Noise. They cater to people's anger and fears to make a profit.

I think a lot has to do with the changing family dynamic. The traditional family is a thing of the past. The church has to address this fact to accommodate the younger people. As far as faith goes, you either have it or you don't. I knew a person that attended church because he thought it gave him luck in his gambling.

The mid-term election during the last term of a second term president traditionally goes against the presidents party. Nothing will change. The republicans will attempt to repeal the presidents workings. They will obstruct in an attempt to regain the presidency. Altimatly the pendulum will swing back and start all over again.

According to your definition everyone is an artist. I take photographs but I don't consider myself a photographer.

You people just don't get it. If you think you are elevating your craft by calling yourself an artist, you are proving my point. An artist is an artist and a photographer is a photographer. One is not elevated above the other. If you think it is I feel sorry for you. A plumber is not a surgeon just because he declares himself one. If you want to paint pick up a brush. Be happy with what you do.

You completely misunderstand my point. I am not underestimating the skill level of a good photographer. You may be much more highly skilled a photographer than I am an artist. I can't undestand why you are ashamed of your craft and want to be called an artist. If I produce a painting I don't then declair myself to be a photographer. If you described Mr. Adams craft you would describe him as a photographer. His images are highly collected and very valuable. I'm sure he was not ashamed to be called a photographer.

If you want to believe you are an artist, good for you. I would celebrate your camera because that is what produced the image. Mr. Adams physically manipulated his images during development. Pressing a button on a computer is no comparison.

I am an amature Watercolorist. You are very skilled at manipulating digital images with your computer software. I find it offensive to call it art. You are skillful at what you do and should be commended, but it seems everyone in every profession is declaring to be artists. I've seen tennis players describe their work as art. I'm not looking down my nose at you. It's just a different profession.

My name is Frank. I am a painter in water color medium. I have been using photography to support my art work for 40 yrs. I stumbled onto this site. I like it. In my film photography I used Canon products. Now I use Nikon for my digital photography. I find Nikon more reliable hardware. I use both PC and Apple products finding Apple far superior. My opinion.
