Thanks for sharing all the beauty and inspiration that you bring to this site. You have mastered a style in a way that raises the bar for many of us.

It takes some power to collapse and open a lens when using the camera. Every time you extend the lens fine dust particles will be drawn into the lens chamber and adhere to glass and mechanical parts. I would opt for a case that allows the switch to stay on and the lens ready to use.

You improved an already very nice image. We see lots of," how to replace skies" and to see this technique used to make a clean still life replacement seems so obvious, but I have to admit to plodding through a cloning process or two in the past. Those efforts were time consuming and often not as successful. Thanks for turning on a creative light for some of us who may be thinking too linearly. It is a neat trick and simple as is most magic. Isn't it great that photography can now create in the visual build like other media artists have done for centuries. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing dedication! I knew you must have used some careful planning and pre-visualization, but your attention to detail puts most of us in snapshot mode. Thank you for sharing the rest of the story. It is very special to know the background of the process considering you quietly share your work so generously with all. Few have access to such beautiful little treasures. Thanks for sharing so much effort and expertise and for illuminating the stage of creativity.

Beautiful and inspiring! We all could gain by looking a little closer at the world under our nose. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing the great images. Are you willing to share the lighting technique you use to get your studio look in a dimly lit location? I am impressed with the mostly shadowless images that are brightly lighted.

I love the concept and the digital work, but for me the elk should stand as tall as the car and the muzzle of the elk would be almost touching the face of the policeman. The light on the tines of the elk and the light on the man's face are at different angles. Chromatic aberrations seem different on the elk and the car. The car does not fit with the road or a rural location.

It is a very fun idea, but the blank look on the man's face doesn't fit with an elk breathing on you from inches away. Just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing a great thought during hunting season.

Thanks for the post. It has incredible photography and reminds most of us what is really great photography. The images each give me a lot to think about along with the awareness of the time commitment that is required and the fact that the time commitment is at an hour that may not be so free for most of us. The ten tips are just a tease for the passion and knowledge required to take images to this level.

Thanks for the update and research. How many people just accepted his statement because it is what they wanted to hear?

People prefer to believe what they want to believe. Global warming is an unfortunately poor choice of words. I would remind folks that burning stored energy does release a lot of CO2. A gallon of gas burned for example releases 5 pounds of carbon dioxide. Think a five pound bag of charcoal for your grill or dumped out on the road. Industry has increased the warmth of the earths atmosphere by a measurable probability. More importantly carbon dioxide is acidifying the ocean at a disturbing rate, which may become the more immediate crisis. The temperature of the atmosphere and earth's surface has cycled regularly and there is evidence that the sun is cycling us into a cooling period which will make extra carbon in the atmosphere look like a good deal until the next warming cycle comes raging back. Very serious scientists are struggling to find answers to complex events. Only the uneducated are sure that an individual observation is proof of what they prefer to believe. Most of us buy insurance because we are not sure of the future and we might be wrong. Getting an education is a very unsettling process.

Thanks for sharing the the world through your eye on flicker. I am always amazed at how individuals have an inspirational perception of the world around them and the ability to clean up a scene like a fine filter on music.
