I doubt it, but it ought to be true. I'd be real careful before trying it in real life. The other car would be about five seconds behind, and its owner would be very unhappy.

This is too funny and a great way to get even:

I was in the McDonaldโ€™s drive-through this morning and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn because I was taking too long to place my order and she was handy with the Bird sign Language.
โ€œTake the high road,โ€ I thought to myself.ย  So when I got to the first window I paid for her order along with my own.
The cashier must have told her what I'd done, because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed "Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with a kindness.
When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too.

Now she has to go back to the end of the line start all over.

Moral......
โ€œDon't mess with old people.โ€

We need more like this. How about a week where nobody posts anything taken farther than 100' from home? It wouldn't be "equal," but It would be interesting and fun.

Yes lucky, to an extent, but you were able to take advantage of the lucky situation by moving quickly and decisively. My bird left while I was going downstairs to get a better shot. I could write a book about the number of great shots I have missed over the years, that can never be duplicated.

The best thing about this pic is that my wife thinks it is a great shot. I know better, but now she is insisting on a good print from a high-end lab instead of my usual Walgreens or Costco approach. It may even end up on the wall. My luck continues to hold.

I enjoy the picture but am wondering how long he stayed there. I had a similar experience--one horned owl in over 35 years. My pix of the bird were not nearly as good as yours as I had to shoot thru a window with a screen on it.

Good job.

My wife saw him and yelled, "get your camera." I shot several through the window and all were pretty ugly. I changed lenses and went outside, sneaking around side of the house, getting four good shots before he decided to quit posing and flew away. The whole thing was under 10 minutes. Lucky shot.

Stopped in my back yard tonight. It is the only owl I have seen in the seventeen years I have lived here. When kids, dogs, lawnmowers, and parties start making noise again, I doubt he will be back. Righf now we are all enjoying the enforced quiet.

A good memory. I remembered the song, but not the artists.

Not as hard for me to remember as for others. 1. I'm no longer young. 2. "Mills Bros" sounds like a family reunion. 3. I have one of their CDs with this song on it. 4. People often call me "Brother Mills."

For the last three weeks I've tried something new for me. I took a subwoofer out of a speaker, covered it with a black latex balloon then put acrylic paint on the speaker (I mixed it with water). I cranked the sound up high to "Comin' Home Baby" by David Sanborn. I don't have a micro lens but I did my best with what I had. Here are my results

Absolutely fantastic!
