Hurray! Hopefully other software can be devised to protect the property rights other artists like musicians or photographers whose intellectual property was stolen without authorization or compensation by scum like Sam Altman CEO of OpenAI.

Glad it provided good memories Shellback. I was a civilian Aerospace engineer for the Navy for 26 years doing in-service engineering, but the only time I got out of CONUS was about 250 miles off of the coast near San Diego when I spent 3 days on the Kitty Hawk trying to resolve a landing gear issue on the S-3. We flew on and off in a C-1; got a trap, but they deck ran us off, so no cat shot.

Still fun though

Nice pictures - thanks for the memories.

Another trip down memory lane - NSA Naples is a United States Navy Base that is located at the Naples Airport. The naval base is home to both the United States Sixth Fleet and the United States Naval Forces Europe. When deployed to the Med on a ship, Naples becomes your temporary home port and we became very familiar with the beautiful city while there for 6 months.

Duh. Next Monday is the solar eclipse and if you point your camera, real or cell. You might blow out the sensor or over heat it.

THIS is not April fools post but a warning to those trying to photograph anything beside full totality w/o a proper filter.

How many did that at the last eclipse? I heard nothing in the news or read on the forums about any issues.

As we get closer to the event, more warnings will be posted and broadcast about what safety measures and precautions to take.

I am guessing that at least a million, possibly a billion, cell phone sensors are going to catch fire next Monday.

Cute April Fools joke that, unfortunately, some folks might actually believe…

I read that in the news last night - there are a lot of companies that have not admitted data breach…

Thanks for the link - that’s a good site

Do a search on Dollar Tree Closings and you'll get all kinds of info, including the news that they're closing about a thousand stores over the next year. www.bing.com

I’m not interested in Dollar Tree - the video is about Dollar General’s stated price vs actual charged price.

Krispy Creme tried to get into Conn. a few years back. I recall lo-o-o-ng lines in the parking lot and in the store. I must say that I thought their glazed donut was outstanding!! I see where McDonalds will be partnering with them. Which begs the question...who can afford to go to McDonalds any more? I can't stand their (food) dry hamburgers. My wife and I took our granddaughter there for lunch and it cost us FOURTY-TWO dollars!!!! Good bye Mickey D. I won't miss you.

I remember when McD food was procured locally and as you traveled, the quality and flavor would change - but, it was all good and all meat - now, I don’t eat there as my system doesn’t handle cardboard too well.

Brings back memories of when I lived in Colorado Springs - almost every year we would see that. They are resilient as some springs they would survive multiple snow storms and still stand tall in the sunshine.
