I had one and loved it. The only reason that I sold it on ebay is because I bought a D2xs. I would recommend that you move up to that camera just because of the sensor size. A used D2x on ebay is about the max I can afford due to being old and on Social Security. That was the only reason I move to the D2x was the increased pixel count.
I work on panos everyday. I use PS CC and it will process RAW (NEF) files. I have tried MS ICE software which will only work with jpegs but does a much better job in handling the parallax that happens as you pan across your subject. I shoot my panos in portrait mode which means I can have 6 or 8 panels (individual photos) to merge. Using PS the result can cause the merged image to exhibit what I call the "smiley face". It rises up on both ends. MS will construct a flat image on large panos. You can download a working version and it is free.
Well the boxes need a little tlc but they are intact they are not damaged at all. I was going to put them on ebay for $35 each. I wanted to keep them for the same reason that you want them but being on SS I need the money. They are nice.
I have two vintage light meters if you are interested. Both have boxes and manuals and one has the "Guarantee" card filled out by the seller with the serial number of the unit. One is a Walz Cornet-B (this one has the guarantee card) and the other is a Kalimar Model A-1. If you are interested I will take pics. The Kalimar is like new and the Cornet shows some wear on the leather cover but the meter looks like new.
As an avid hockey fan and old skater, this warms my heart. My oldest started out at this age. He is now 50 and still skates twice a week with friends on a hockey team. He has told me many times that he is so glad that I got him out early so he could develop some skills. He has loved the sport as I have all my life. We are avid Red Wings fans and watch every game.
He has two websites. One is clipsoftips.com and the other is russelkins.com. Clips of tips offers tutorials which are fantastic. The Russ Elkins website is more of his portfolio. He is a very talented man.
Bob if you are anything like me you will look back on these pics as soooooo precious. My oldest is 50 this year. Every once in a while I dig them out to look at them.
My favorite place to go is Duck Creek in Utah. A great place to have a second home (which I do not!!!) The state of Utah has maps printed up to show you all the trails around there.
Yes, Dumont. The iPad has a far too aggressive spell checker at times!
:D
I am going on 70 and I still love to get out on the ATV's with my boys. Playing on the quads all day and having a fire at night. Everyone has a different dish that they brought and we switch which one of us grills that evening. Good food, good friends and great family.
