I loved the magic that took place in the darkroom.
It began with leaving the outside world for this other
secret inside one, it was full of curious nose twitching
smells that breathed heavy like dark salta, heavy water,
Like they were alive.

The Magicians work as quickly as they can. Time
limitations of the actual chemicals batt the room.
Tick-tick-tick. Tray to tray. Developer. Wash.
Fixing Agent. Hang to dry. Like a piece of
white shirt now dring with design.

Nostalgically i find a darkroom prefersble.

Don't know where u are. Can u get close enough
with your car to turn the headlighs on it high beam?
Or place a Coleman Lantern at the foot of the tree.
Enlist six friends with strong flashlights.

Or fourse you can also strategically place
wireless pole lights at the trees base... Or behind
the trunk and key limbs. Then you can remotely
Illone them simultaneously.

Following PCH, aka Highway 101, south from Seattle will be an ever- changing treat. Enjoy. Whhen you reach Santa Monica, i recommend parking in one of the sand lots. Spend at least a day. The pier with its quintessential ferris wheel. Stand sough of pier at sunset.
Google:Hermosa and Redondo Beachs for their highly beach goer flavor. Driving S. don't miss the coast at the the point of Palos Verdes. Not frequentd much. Great vistas. Lots of paragliders on the cliffs who will glide and hover just over and around while you snap.
Moving South, Long Beach is a gold mine. Google to discover and select which you want to do. .
Then, The old wooden pier in the old town of Sesl Beach. No more seals. Great view of the City of Long Beach at sunset.
Just south is Huntiongton Beach. Famous fabulous steel pier. People watching - fisherpersons, surfers, tourists.
There are both free and metered parking places almost running the length of HB proper. Also pay parking lots. Main Street HB is both old and new. Morning light in a good wind with gulls hovering over the pier posing for you. Double back about three miles to the Bolsa Chica wetlands. Sunrises best photographed from the old wooden bridge. One of the most impt. Western water fowl route stopovers. Beautiful trails. Birds vary by time of year.

Twenty miles south of HB is Newport Beach and Corona del Mar.
Parts of Newport are still beach towns - Balboa Island.
Google Corona Del Mar's photographic rocky shoreline.
Extraordinary sunset from the rocks, freeze tide pools and waves. And pray for a red sunset! Not to be missed if you're an ocean freak like me.
Another 25 mikes S, pull into Crystal Cove State Park. The Bette Midler film "Beaches" was filmed in one of the quaint cottages on the waters edge. Then, keep driving. There is so much to see abd photograph, you'll enjoy it all. Enjoy!

This is one of thr oldest scams I've never fell for; but I do know fellow trusting souls who have. Do not pay them one penny.
Your justly cynical assessment is brilliant.
Hopefully others like you who believe in the best of people, will heed your story. They play to your heart - and play you.
Repeat after me; "Not one penny."
