I put my address labels on everything. I dropped my P&S Camera at a park. Someone found it and called me and returned it to me. But I also like the idea of serial numbers to report it to the insurance company too. Maybe use both, just in case.

None of my close friends are into photography, so no one asks to borrow my stuff. Thank goodness for that, because I wouldn't lend it out. I have offered to a friend of mine to borrow my P&S.

For quite a few years I have taken photos at family birthday parties and give them the photos and a slide show of the party. And of course the birthday child comes up to me and says, "Can I see your camera?" My response is "WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!" I say it loudly and the Mom says, "That is not your toy, honey, you can't have it." And we live happily ever after.

And because it is a party with children, I do take my camera to the bathroom with me. Children don't mean any harm, but sometimes you have to be careful.

Sounds like fun. I am going to upper Minnesota in a couple of weeks, coming back home to Pennsylvania and then taking a train ride to Arizona. He will love the trips. What kind of camera does he have? This is Canon territory here. But I am not prejudiced, he can have any camera. Or will he use mine?

This was taken in the Cleveland Ohio Zoo. The poor little monkey was just watching her shoot him. I didn't know the lady, so I went over and told her I would like to shoot her and the monkey together, if that was all right with her. She was happy to keep on posing for me.

I took the course, and they have good lessons. The only thing I didn't like was the lessons were for film and also digital. They taught you what you needed to know, but I thought they were too expensive. You can learn the same things from books from the library, YouTube and free lessons you can get on the internet.

1. The midnight sun in Alaska
2. A close up of a whale, and a pemquin, (but not a zoo shot)
3. Close shot of a volcano. But not close enough to get burned.

Sounds like some interesting places to see. Make sure everyone has their walking shoes on. Pittsburgh is a hilly town. It is a town everyone would love. Below are a couple of shots I took last January when it was freezing cold out. The first 2 are taken from Mt Washington, shooting down on Pittsburgh at night time. The last one is a shot of a church that sits on top of another building in downtown Pittsburgh. I don't know the story behind the church, but it sure was interesting.

Would love to do an outing. I live in Washington County, just south of Pittsburgh. Please don't make it inside of Pittsburgh, driving downtown is a little treacherous for me. I am a country gal.

I had a Canon Rebel that needed the CPU and main board replaced. The unit was not that old. It was under warrenty and I didn't pay anything. It came back and worked fine. Canon did the repair work. I had the same problem with the prolonged shutter speed.
