Rhino's are one of my favorite critters. Nice work, they come in. Many colors. I found them in Ambon Indonesia on a couple trips.
Classic shot, of Emperor shrimp riding a nudi. Sharp focus and great negative space behind the subject. Were you shooting F22 or higher ?
Like the Critters, will be searching for them on Cebu Philippines in 2 weeks
Thx for the comments it was a great experience
Thx, it was a great experience
This post is from Trinidad Cuba 2008. Spent a couple weeks visiting cigar factories, diving, and visiting the locals with my Cuban dive buddy.
Trinidad is a town in the province of Sancti SpĂritus, central Cuba.
typical back street in this village
more old cars
Taxi
local market
a dog's life
dinner time with family of my friend
no air con, mid August, entertainment with family
My Amigos
Thanks all, went diving in Bay of Pigs looking for the Green Shark that is unique to Cuba waters, but never saw one. It was pretty typical of other Caribbean dive sites, reefs are decent, but most fish end up in a pot to feed the family or sale to resorts. Look for Cuba 2, I will post pics from Trinadad.
There are hundreds of these old cars, I'm sure USA collectors will be snapping them up. Probably a few will try to buy them all and resale. Hope Cuba will not allow export of these old cars to keep that charm of old Havana
I'll give B&W a go with the (not so old man) he spent many years of labor in the sun to get them.
I agree the Gringos will change Havana with investments and tourist dollars, but the real beauty is in the countryside where water is only turned on every other day, the humble folks are appreciative of your interest in their country, and rural agriculture is the norm.
My friend's mother is a dental surgeon his father is a mechanic, both earn $60 month plus rice, beans, coffee, and tobacco rations.
The government owns all businesses , but there is a small black market operating trading services for rations, similar to early China.
I'm pleased we can travel to Cuba legally, I had to jump thru hoops to sneak in via Honduras in 2008 to Scuba Dive with a good Cuban friend. The vintage USA cars are amazing, they had to fabricate the parts when they wore out because they could not buy them from the US. Many have bond-o to keep the shells from rusting out.
thxs Bill, did the same in Philippines with clear plastic sheet with a light under it
Did you shoot him in LA area or overseas ? How did you place Kim on green background capture and release shot above water ?
Not positive but think it is Phestilla melanobrachia .... Color yellow, orange, or black depending on the color of it's prey.
Yeah I know it's a wait, but it's all volunteer and takes tome when not doing the day job.
Looks like we have crossed paths over the years when looking at your website. I'll pull my nudi book and find the yellow guy and get back to you.
check out some of same locations as yours
