I was sitting on my lanai when a lone cedar waxwing landed in a landscape tree very close to me. Here are several photos I was able to snap before he (she?) took off.

Real Photographers use Polaroid.

Really interested in finding out what you consider is a "real photographer."

I am a long-time Nikon shooter. I did purchase the Nikon 200-500mm lens and really liked it. Yes, it is a heavy lens. I started reading articles about having to lug that huge lens around ALL DAY LONG, and what a burden it was. So, I got rid of it. Lately I have been thinking, I don't go out shooting ALL DAY LONG, at most I am out shooting 4 hours (I am 79 years old). If I cannot carry that lens on my Nikon D7500 camera for 4 hours (at times with the use of monopod), then I need to resign myself to my recliner. I will be getting my Nikon 200-500mm lens this Thursday, can't wait. I need to stop listening to the "pros" and remember I am just a enthusiast!

I shoot with the Z50, have been for several, months. I had it set to back button focus. IO was watching a video by Ken Rockwell and the settings he uses and made a few changes. Now I cannot set up back button focus. I deactivated the shutter button focus, went into the shooting menu and enabled the AEL-AFL button to AF ON, but it will not focus. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Two nights ago, I was shooting sunsets, using exposure bracketing, one stop under exposure, one shot proper exposure, one shot overexposure. Worked fine. The next day, I had to take the camera out od exposure bracketing for shooting during the day. Last night, while trying to shoot sunsets again, using exposure bracketing, the camera would take just one shot. I would set the exposure bracketing for the usual 3 shots, one over, one normal, one under exposure. After the first (and only shot), the bracketing exposure scale would show just one shot set for over exposure. I must have made a setting in my camera that prevents three successive shots, but I just cannot discover it. Help please!

My college baseball coach had a picture over the doorway into his office. It was a fish is a frying pan. The caption read, "I wouldn't have gotten caught if I would have kept my mouth shut." I will follow that advice. If I stay on UHH, I will keep my mouth shut, not make any posts, nor respond to any posts. That will work for me.

When, and if, you read Lefty's diatribe, please don't think all Floridians are of this ilk!

Sorry I don't meet your "Floridian standards" Streetrodder. Please send me a copy of Floridian Social Standards, I will seriously work on becoming the robot you think all Floridians should be.

Learn before you judge. I was a high school biology teacher for 39 SUCCESSFUL years, I would say I had a vast exposure to vast differences in a social environment. Judge lest ye be judged!

This is the general "chit-chat" forum, non-photography forum...see, I do read instructions, contrary to what some believe!

I suggest that a dive into a good lexicon will help as to what "liberal" and "zealot" denote. Misuse of terms does not move discussions forward.

One thing being a constipated ranter does make one worse. QED.

This qualifies as Attic fodder.

For your information, Sir, I DID NOT misuse any terms, I meant exactly what I said. If that melts your butter, so be it.

When I first joined UHH, I was excited to indulge in the posts. I was looking forward to learning more about photography. I am an amateur at best, love just getting out in nature and taking photos. And, UHH has plenty of members who are willing to help and share their expertise. On the other hand, there are far too many "EXPERTS" I use that rem very loosely) who think the sun rises and sets in their asses when it comes to photography. They don't mind pointing out top you that the post you just made has been debated before, at least 5 pages of debates on it. They don't mind pointing out how stupid you are..."JUST READ YOUR MANUAL" is their favorite expression. Now, the "c**p de gras" is that UHH, like most, if not ALL media sites, are run and controlled be a bunch of liberal zealots. They believe if you don't do what they say, how they say, and when they say, you are WRONG, and your posts will be deleted. Well, UHH gestapo, delete my posts if you want, delete me if you want, but I will not be silenced. And all of you i***ts who think you are so important, so great that you can tell others what to do, SHOVE IT!! I realize the UHH gestapo and other liberal members will be foaming at the mouth over this post, I just do give as big crap. I will stay active till this time tomorrow, give all who want a chance to respond, and brand me as a UHH d******c t*******t, then I will say, no, I won't say, I will just silently slip back into the past when I wasn't a member of this liberal left, self-righteous group. Now, I realize some of you do not belong in that group you know who you are. Buit for anyone who does, if the shoe fits, lace those babies up!
