Even after the many replies (thanks folks), I see no solid reason.

"Bad Form"? Why

"Whole World see edits"? Well, the whole world reads my words, and "a picture is worth a thousand" of them.

I am aware of and thankful for the specific forums that allow it, but still think we are missing a fuller appreciation of photography, for no particular reason. (as for compatibility, we'd just have to use jogs)

Still unanswered for me is the question "why?"--especially in any forum that invites critique or analysis.

Because it does not belong to you! I do not want my photos altered, they belong to me! I only post them to share my work and let others see. I own them so I should be the only one that alters them!

It worked grate.
The photos are sh*** it was fogy and low light but the sight did work well. Love this set up.
All at 500mm

Not sure if a laser is a good thing to point in the sky! I set my lens to 150 to get the birds in sight then zoom out to get the picture!

Wow! Your eclipse blocked the whole moon, mine showed the moon with an orange glow.

By the time it got here it was bright white and in a haze..

Sorry you couldn't get a picture. Mine had more noise than I wanted but used faster shutter speed because handheld and in a hurry.

Eclipse handheld @600mm with Tamron 150-600 lens. High ISO as I was in a hurry to get ready for work.

I got it to use on my Nikon D300. I've gotten some great shots with this lens, and a lot of bad ones. I know my D300 is a good, but dated camera. Do I have better options for a birding camera that has fast AF and is good in low light in the $2K - 3K range. Between the Nikon 7100, 610, 750, 810, D3S, which camera is the best value and will meet my requirements? A used D3S is probably the best, and most expensive, and oldest option. Are any of the other cameras a better choice?
Sorry , can't help. Don't know much about Nikon, I have the Tamron 150-600 on my Canon 6D and it works great!

Here's my problem. I'm on a tight budget and have a Nikon D300. I walked into my local camera store and they had a brand new Tamron 150-600 which I promptly bought. At the Cape Fear River I got a great shot of an Ospery, hand held, which blew me away. At Jordan Lake I took over 300 shots of birds, but the light was low and I had to crank up the ISO and shoot at too low a shutter speed for birds. Most of my photos were blurred or had too much noise. What FF camera can I use in the golden hours with low ISO and fast shutter speeds for hand-held shots from a boat?

Since you just paid over $1000 on a new Tamron 150-600 lens You'll have to get whatever camera it has a mount for. I hope you got the Tamron with the Nikon mount if you are planning to use Nikon cameras.
