Most don't ever seem to say that their first video feels friendly and easy!
If you have a windows computer, the current and included offering from Microsoft is called ClipChamp. You can still get what they call the "legacy Photos" app with video capability built in.
If you have a Apple computer, the current and included offering is called iMovie.
CapCut is currently popular and the free version is very good. It comes from the TikTok people. I think there are versions for everything from phones up.
Another free app is Davinci Resolve. It is loved by all that choose to become videographers. The features are so numerous that it will appear to have a steep learning curve. But, sticking to a basic video creation workflow makes it easy enough.
I think the single app that tries to be the easiest of all is called Premiere Elements. Its from Adobe and, for this app, they make every effort to target the home and family movie maker. It is $100.
If you know and already have Lightroom classic it is relatively easy to use the Slideshow module to make composite videos that combine stills with video.
Explain more about what gear you have, the software you have, the source of the photos and your intentions and you'll get more precise advice.

I have a ton of old photos which are taking up too much space. Friends, can I get any recommendations for a high quality fast scanner? Must be Mac and PC compatible. Thank you in advance. Poto
Your post says "photos" so I will assume you mean prints, not slides or negatives. If so, I strongly recommend the EpsonĀ® FastFoto FF-680W.
I live in a retirement community and our photography group bought one to share. It works very well on those shoeboxes full of prints. It does a straight scan, will create an optional color corrected extra file and, if it detects writing on the back, will scan that too.
It is fast and accepts a stack of prints. The instructions suggest that you should make stacks of similar sized prints.
How are you editing the footage from six cameras? Were the four camcorders "standardized"?

If you are just "watching" consider a really good pair of binoculars, like canon image stabilized. If you want more power, consider a Swarovski spotting scope (but they are pricey too). Others will tell you about camera lenses.
Canon image stabilized binoculars are truly amazing. A favorite thing to do on my trips to Yellowstone is to let kids look through them when wildlife has been spotted.
On my Android phone is the optional "Expert Raw" camera app. It has a readout of "WB" in Kelvin. I also have a free app called Light Meter from the Play Store. It has a WB readout. A friend who shoots documentaries has a paid for app on his iPhone with a WB read out. You point the phone at the subject area, get a WB number and set a manual WB in the camera.
The three apps will be within 100 or 200 K. Any further adjustment in post can be done with the "Calibrated Mark V Eyeball".
Went to a shop on the Big Island full of metal prints showing typical large ocean and volcano scenes for sale. The gallery owner explained that the glow comes from how the metal reflects light differently than paper. He added that all his brilliant work was printed by Bay Photo and that I should use them too!
What you get on a disc will be many versions behind. Adobe has not been napping for a dozen years! Tools and features have been added regularly. Good ones!
All support for version 6 ended a couple years ago. It might not successfully install at all.
It used to be that the disc had 6.0 on it and then you would update online to 6.14. I don't think that will work now.
The disc would only be the old Lightroom. The current $10/month ($120/year) includes several versions of Lightroom and Photoshop.
If subscriptions tee you off, buy something other than a disc on ebay.

I assume you already checked in Windows Explorer or Mac's equivalent to see if there are photos in the folder.
If the original files are there, then there's the probability that LR can't find the catalogue file associated with that folder. Try re-importing them.
"Try re-importing them."
I think that might be a bad idea. Doing that can lead to lots of duplicates and confusion.
I've got four cameras that are getting nothing but shelf time. B&H says they will pay me enough to make it worth sending them in. That means I can buy something fun.
One huge temptation is a combo package with the DJI Action 4 camera and the DJI wireless mic kit. Wireless audio and rock steady footage are good even if I'm not athletically actionable anymore.
