I bought a Kenko 1.4 extender years ago and it worked great ( it was the pro model ) and it was less than 1/2 the price of the canon.

Who ever thought you would get mooned by Micky.
If you're a canon user you can download canon's free raw editing software. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it does quite a nice job.
Nesting season in the Florida wetlands
Yesterday morning while having breakfast I noticed a larger than normal size bird in a tree in the back yard. I couldn't makeout what it was doing until a saw feathers fly. I grabbed the camera, put the 100-400 on it to try to get a decent shot. It was foggy with a light mist falling. The only shot I have was through the kitchen window. There were branches all around the bird and I couldnot get the camera to auto focus so I switched to manual and did the best I could. Shooting a 400 mm @ 125 sec. was all the speed I could get without cranking up the iso more than I like. These are not great photos but I thought they are interesting.
I find that I am much more comfortable doing wildlife and landscape photography. The animals and trees don't seem to mind. When it comes to street photography I try not to intrude on a persons space.
I don't really notice it. The composition is exellent, nice photo.
Bought a lens from them about 4 months ago. Couldn't be happier.
My wife and I were out that way a few years ago and stayed at the valley of the gods B&B near Mexican Hat, Utah. It's a converted old mining office and the views are incredible. ( check it out )
Pretty to look at, not fun to be out in.
