This is a test that was given to 8 th graders back in 1912. Could you pass this test even now as an adult? I did not. What is being taught now is different because of technology, but it does have some valid information even in today's society.
I want to share with you a copy of an eighth grade exam from 1912 that was donated to the Bullitt County History Museum in Kentucky.
Would eighth grade students be able to pass such an exam today?
Would college students?
As you look over this exam from 1912, ask yourself how you would do on itÂ…

Thank you for posting this. There is so much violence on tv and in the movies that more people should be outraged! Now it is so commonplace that people are accepting it as the norm. I did teach my children to all of what was said in the post. They grew up to be respectable adults . They are able to make wise wise decisions.
The problem is that there are people in authority that have the notion that because they have a badge, they are above the respectable norm. I am saying that not all, but a handful take their badge to a new level. The police should be there to protect people and neighborhoods. By the tainted new's stories sensationalizing things like the Ferguson riots, it gives the thugs and the rioters the power and not the police. Why should these people get away with burning cars, burning buildings and businesses, and throwing things at police?? By all the accounts and evidence this was one of the GOOD policemen.
The news stations are just as guilty as the people looting in Ferguson. They are not just reporting, they are enabling the crime to a further level, by reporting on just the protests. What about the humanity perspective of the other people injured in all of this? Why do these people not have a place to be instead of rioting? Do they not have a job or responsibilities that they need to adhere to? Do they not have children they should be home with and protecting? And teaching to obey the laws? Why is it that people want the police to protect them only when it is THEIR life or property on the line.
In the end being a parent does not end after giving birth. It is alot of hard work and you will be battling everyday against the peer pressure, the movies, the video games, the media ect. But it is still possible to raise law abiding, respectful children. All it takes is a commitment to your job as a parent. Do not leave it to the schools and their friends . The biggest thing is to be involved in what they do, and to listen and have open communication. Teach them to be respectful of authority, but to question if something does not seem right.
And with that i am off my soap box.

They apply for work permits and pay taxes. Good? I think so. I'm ok with this, it's really no biggie. It will take 180 days to go into effect. Well, it'll be Jan. until it goes into effect, then 180 days later.
Thanks for your uncrazy response, Tramsey. A lot of ppl here think the world's coming to an end.
You are not worth commenting on.
To all of those who sent me positive feed back and private messages, a HUGE Thank You

If you had just said there was something there that looked like a face, you wouldn't have been subjected to so much derision. Other people could see that. But it was the man with a turban and a gun which nobody else seemed to see, and blaming the company for not seeing it, that seemed a little wacko to people.
Why would i say there is just a face? why would i not say what i did see? Do we have to be so politically correct as to not say what we want? There is a tide in America that has me worried, and there is no turning back. I have sent a message to the company and I am in communication with them now.
All you people who are so quick to call names and hateful comments don't mean a thing to me. But who gives you the right to say what you want, and not me. I feel sorry for all you uneducated fools who only use simpleton answers to express what you feel. there have only been maybe 5 posts who stuck to the subject. Fill your lives with hate and that is what you will get back.

I can't believe you are also missing the biblical symbology of this photo. The girl obviously represents Eve from the bible, being tempted by the Devil behind her. Eve represents the good, pure, white Christian America, who can't resist the dark skinned devil behind her. This is to hypnotize us into accepting the inevitable takeover of our formerly pure white Christian country by the dark skinned evil hordes, sent by lucifer himself. How did you miss that? Think about it. What is the first 2 letters of 'Denny'? Probably stands for "Devil's Emp, don't you think?
