Beautiful pictures of the Osprey. I just took some today on a walk around one of our lakes. Are the spoonbills year round in Florida?

Very nice shot. I just love these birds. I listen for their return every spring, not sure how I will know when spring is here if they don't get going. We still have some around. They are really late leaving this year.

Ours are usually gone by Nov/Dec and back in March or so.
We are having an unusually mild winter and I wonder if that is the reason. Some have left, but there are a few hanging around.

I really enjoy the Roseate Spoonbills. I've photographed a few of them and will try again this year at Myakka State Park. I'm also interested in the white Pelicans. Don't see many of them around this area.

I just shot some white pelicans last weekend. But I usually only see them on or near some of the outer small islands. They are also one of our "snow birds". You'll only see them here in the winter.

I think after hours is the best time to go there and the photography is much better too. I don't have a pass to go there after hours but I've gone early just as they open up. I usually go over near the dam area. Where do you go?

Nice Shots I live close to the park and have an after hours pass so I go on a regular basis when I'm home.Last week the spoonbills were in.There is always something moving about in the park.
