I took this with a Nikon D80. 3Sec shot hand held...slow night at work and didn't have a tripod. Let me know what you think or how it could be improved.

New to the forum. Just got back into photography about a year ago and starting to get serious now. Mainly using a Nikon D80. Still learning but have found lots of great info here.

Great pics. I used to live in Harlingen, TX when the CAF was stationed there. Brings back some memories.

I have the same kit. Great camera and lenses. Both are AF and VR. It also shoots HD video. I normally use a Nikon D80 but my wife likes the 3100. I agree the 300mm lens would be better, but if she's doing more portraiture work the 200mm will be fine.
