Looking at the Cincinnati skyline is definitely the place to be. Next year I'll have reservations at a restaurant in KY after the show so I won't have to wait in traffic for almost an hour to get home...

It certainly worked for these shots! Every 4th of July my town puts on a terrific fireworks display. Without a logical, well thought out way to capture it as you have, my work has been either a few good shots, or this stuff sucks. Thanks for the info.

Very few are keepers; it's not an exact science. As long as there's a few good ones it was worth the effort. Anybody that claims every shots a winner is stretching the truth...

Great what’s! What camera settings did you use?

Thanks for viewing!

Canon 6D Mark II, Shot in RAW, Shutter on Bulb, f8, used cable release. Opened the shutter when I saw the spark that sent the rockets skyward. Kept the shutter open for approximately 5 seconds.

Shooting fireworks is truly "Spray and Pray", I shot dozens of exposures to end up with a few keepers.

A labor day tradition for over 40 years the Cincinnati fireworks is always an amazing celebration of summer.

Nothing like a big juicy burger fresh off the grill to really mean it's SUMMER!

Here's one I posted before on another subject (probably mine). From my first balloon ride, this pic was taken with my Samsung S10 (because cameras weren't allowed). It's the sunrise over the West bank of the Nile. Wake-up call was 4AM at the Winter Palace hotel in Luxor, but it was worth the yawns and the $110 price tag. I went to Jordan and Egypt for 3 weeks (one in Jordan and two in Egypt) to celebrate my 60th birthday in style. Taken on June 12th, three days before "the big event."
Here's one I posted before on another subject (pro... (show quote)

Did almost the same trip. I hope you were able to see the Roman ruins in Jurash when you were in Jordan....

That's bizarre and funny. You posted your Nile sunset pic one minute after my sunrise on the Nile pic!

That is funny! Thanks for viewing!
