i always shoot in manual. I will take a shot and then try to shoot again (not changing a thing, and subject has not moved) and shutter just freezes and focus goes off. I hope it is an operator error but I can't seem to figure out what is going on. I think it is easier to fix what I am doing wrong rather than sending back the camera for repair.
YES! Same thing happens to me. I use the 24-70L 2.8 lens. I called Canon and they said it was probably the lens. Not so, as it happens even when I have a different lens on. I don't have a 18-135 so the only common factor we have is the 60D itself. It is so annoying when I am in the middle of a shoot and it freezes up on me.
thanks so much everyone! I was not expecting such praise. I was just wondering about the soft focus when I posted. However, you have all given my confidence a huge boost. Thanks you so much.
O.K. here is 1st image, cropped and just a tiny bit of vignette.
Thanks Captain C. I will try it. I was hesitant to crop it because the mom is going to print it on a canvas so I was trying to keep as much of the perimeter as possible. Is there a rule for cropping when printing on a canvas?
Thanks Danilo. I love advice and I am very open to accepting it. I am on this forum because of all the knowledgeable people. I just don't like when people make rude comments. I don't mind negative comments but rude is unacceptable to me. So, back to the photos. I am going to crop it and see how it looks. The Mom of the children wants to make it into a canvas.
I have a speedlite, next time I am going to put it on! thanks again.
I did not use a tripod. I used a 24-70 lens. setting for first photo was 1/320 f 6.3 ISO 100
the second was
1/320 f8.0 ISO 100.
Do you recommend a SS faster than 1/320?
I like the vignetting as well. Thanks Tony
I added the vignette in lightroom. do you think i should take if off?
That one is not so bad. I will post another one
Hi, I am hesitant to ask this question for fear of being torn apart. (some people on this forum can be brutal). Here it goes. Can wind cause noise or focus issues? I took photos on the beach with remnants of Tropical Storm Debbey stirring up the wind. My photos were noisy and the focus seemed soft. Thanks everyone.
The photos are all wonderful memory photos. My advice would be to not cut off Kayla's fingers.
I think the above photos look much better than any sunny16 rule!
Birdpix, are you kidding? There is a section called general chit chat for Non photography topics. However even if there was not that was a rude comment. This is a friendly place to visit, and hostility should be kept out!
