This little guy sat here for 15 minutes posing just for me. I was a little out of focus, but so was my shot.

Hey photogs ! Looking at purchasing a new laptop for uploading, and editing my photos. Any recommendations re: best laptops and software programs ?
Majority of my photos are sports/action w some landscape as well.

I don’t know where you live but by chance you have Fry’s electronics store near you they have a huge amount of laptops to choose from.

I like what MSI “Morningstar International” produces in the way of laptops, notebooks their game machine are super fast and high quality, MSI is the largest manufacturer in Taiwan. I can tell you this I use to inter grate their boards into desktops computers for my customers, I had my small business in California.

This thread is not appropriate on this site. This is a Photography site.
That being said, this and similar posts are examples of “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Much of the data in this post is correct, but so incomplete as to be extremely misleading. The global warming we are experiencing now has been incontrovertibly shown to be caused by human-caused changes in the high altitude gaseous shields, and is occurring at a far more rapid rate than most other climatic changes. Exceptions exist for things like the eruption of Krakatoa, impact of massive meteors, and other factors outside of human control.

‘Nuff said. Let’s stick to photography related stuff.

Let me guess, printing a photography magazine isn't an essential job so the printing plant is closed or semi closed.

But in states where it is legal pot shops are essential and are open, and all liquor stores also. Let them self medicate and stay quietly at home.

Great amounts of taxes are collected for those business, those states need the money Hahaha!

Buy and use the Nikon made batteries. If you use others you do so at your own risk. (And you may void the warranty on the camera.)

How do you if it’s under warranty. Nikon doesn’t make battries, there’s only a few companies in the orient that make them, most after market manufacturers make absolutely and perfectly good battries for most cameras.

OP only available digitally really annoys me. I’ve been a subscriber for years and emailed them asking why they went exclusively digital since I still get a number of other mags that didn’t see the need. I personally think it’s a cost saving move and nothing more. By the way, they did not respond to my email.

I can say I will not be renewing my subscription for OP.

I have to apologize to those of us that have common sense on this site. I am sorry I made a comment along with that link about cats. I never dreamed that this would be turned into the argument of the last 2 days. If anyone knows how to ask that this be sent to the attic I wish someone would go ahead and do that. Again, I am sorry for this mess; it was not my intention. Enough is enough! There really are a lot of phoney people on this site. Many of them you never hear from when it comes to photography or interesting things to look at; only when they see something to allow them to cause more trouble do they crawl out from the sewers and rock!
I have to apologize to those of us that have commo... (show quote)

[quote=sathca]National Geographic has pictures of wildlife but not articles on photographing wildlife or am I missing something? The magazine I’m asking about is dedicated to wildlife photography not just photographs. So it discusses post processing, equipment, techniques, the whole gamut. I was wondering if it did that in a quality manner. Is the content any good? Are the articles in depth or perfunctory? Do they have recognizable authors? They want $100 a year. That’s a lot, especially if it’s online only and more so if it’s junk[/quot

One hundred a year that’s too much for a on line product!!!!!
